Day 2 at Wimbledon offers sports gamblers many opportunities to profit with tennis picks. We focus here on the WTA round with key players such as Halep, Radwanksa & defending champion Kvitova.

Jana Cepelova +1000 vs. Simona Halep -2000
Since March Simona Halep hasn't seen into a final of an event. Apparently, that's not good enough for the consummate professional and competitor as she parts ways with her coach Victor Ionita right after her quarterfinal loss to Kristina Mladenovic at Birmingham, just before the start of Wimbledon. She's hired Daniel Dobre to replace Ionita, a coach she's worked with before as part of her Singapore 2014 team. It remains to be seen whether their fledgling partnership will be ready to get her campaign off the ground successfully.

Halep takes on Jana Cepelova of Slovakia in the first round of Wimbledon. Halep beat Cepelova in the first round of the US Open last year in straight sets. So she should fancy her chances with all her experience over the lowly ranked Slovakian, who hasn't won many matches this season and might be low on confidence. The only way an upset were to happen in this match is if Cepelova plays the match of her life and Halep's coaching frustrations come to the forefront at the same time. It's actually quite possible, despite the tennis odds.

Tennis Picks: Halep in three sets at +450

Agnieszka Radwanksa -1000 vs. Lucie Hradecka +600
Radwanka comes into Wimbledon after finishing runner-up in Eastbourne (l. to Bencic). Although a title win would have been the perfect ending to her Wimbledon warm up, it marked only her second loss during the grass court swing. Overall, she takes a 7-2 W-L record on grass, which includes a Top 20 win over No.11 Karolina Pliskova.

The Polish No.1 is in good stead for her opening round match according to odds makers that send her into her R128 match against Lucie Hradecka as the whopping -1000 tennis betting favourite. It's worth noting that her record against the Czech is a discouraging 0-3. It's also worth noting that the last time they met was in 2006 and none of those matches were on grass.

Hradecka may fancy her chances having a winning record over Radwanska, even if the odds makers price her as the +600 tennis betting underdog. She's got form behind a 33-14 mark on the season, but most of her wins have come on clay courts. In her Wimbledon warm-up she only mustered up a 1-2 W-L record.

By all accounts, Radwanska should win this match. She has the form and confidence to pull off the feat. Hradecka though isn't an easy player to put away. She can give Radwanska a run for her money, which tips the scale towards a three set affair on our tennis picks.

Tennis Picks: Radwanska to win in three sets at +350

Petra Kvitova -1200 vs. Kiki Bertens +700
Defending champion Petra Kvitova opens proceedings on Centre Court on Tuesday when she takes on Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands. No.2 Kvitova has the considerable ranking edge over her opponent, who ranks No. 108 in the world and the surface edge having won two titles at the All England Club in the last four years. However, Kvitova comes into the 2015 Wimbledon Championship without any grass court preparation under her belt. After her untimely French Open exit in the R16 (l. to Bacsinszky, the Czech has taken time off to recover and get healthier and fitter. It remains to be seen whether this will be disadvantage. On paper, though, she's justifiably the solid -1200 favourite and should win this match. Given her lack of match play, a three set affair could be on the tennis betting cards, which is a tennis pick trading at +350 tennis odds.
