Karolina Pliskova (3) vs. Caroline Wozniacki (6)

The 2010 runner-up – Caroline Wozniacki – continues her quest for a first-ever title at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore. As we mentioned in the previous analysis, Wozniacki feels well suited to the slower courts of Singapore. Adding to this, the former world no.1 couldn’t have asked for a better start to her campaign in this event with two impressive wins over Elina Svitolina and Simona Halep. Despite Wozniacki’s disappointing defeat against Caroline Garcia on Friday, the Dane is still one of the main favorites to lift the trophy in Singapore.

After a dominant start to her campaign in Singapore, Karolina Pliskova ended the round robin stage with a 3 – 6 1 – 6 loss to Jelena Ostapenko. With Pliskova already confirmed as the White Group winner, the 25-year-old couldn’t find the proper motivation against an inspired Ostapenko. On the other hand, the slow court conditions are far from ideal for Pliskova’s powerful serve with the Czech winning only 37.50% of her service games in her previous match.

This will be the 9th career meeting between these two players with Wozniacki leading on the h2h by 5 – 3.

Despite Karolina’s recent win over this opponent in Cincinnati, the slower courts in Singapore should benefit Wozniacki on this match-up. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of the tremendous value on Caroline’s tennis betting odds to secure a place in the final. Adding to this, placing a bet on Wozniacki’s outright at +225 at Bet365 is also an interesting approach for this tournament.

Caroline Garcia (8) vs. Venus Williams (5)

Caroline Garcia staged an incredible comeback against Caroline Wozniacki at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore to secure not only a spot in the semifinals but also the first place in the Red Group. Known as one of the most aggressive players in the game, Garcia’s firepower proved too much for the Dane with 31 winners. On the other hand, the 24-year-old is going through the best moment in her career with an outstanding 88.24% winning record since the US Open.

Venus Williams continues her impressive record at the WTA Finals with the 37-year-old reaching at least the semifinals in all her five appearances on this event. The seven-time Grand Slam champion defeated Garbine Muguruza in the decisive match, taking the revenge of Wimbledon final lost in July. Despite her straight sets victory over the Spaniard, Venus was far from impressive with 16 winners and 28 unforced errors. Nevertheless, Muguruza couldn’t find her best tennis with a terrible 0.73 winners / unforced errors ratio.

These two players will face each other for the third time in their careers with Garcia winning their first encounter at the 2014 Wuhan Open while Venus got her revenge one week later in Beijing.

This should be an exciting contest between two of the most aggressive players in the game. Despite Williams’ higher experience at this level, it won’t be easy for the American to find the answer to Garcia’s firepower. For that reason, our advice is for you to add Caroline to your betting picks as the most valuable play for this match.
