Barbora Zahlavova Strycova vs. Sara Errani
It has been a dream week for Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, with the Czech reaching her first WTA Premier final. As we mentioned in our WTA Dubai semifinals preview, Barbora had a very tough match against Caroline Garcia, but managed to emerge victorious by 6 – 2 3 – 6 6 – 3. Strycova is a terrific athlete, with an outstanding baseline movement and always looking for an opportunity to close the points at the net. After winning 11/12 points at the net in her quarterfinals contest against Ana Ivanovic, the Czech was once again quite solid at the net, winning 10/15 points against Garcia.

Sara Errani will be looking for her first WTA Dubai trophy, after losing at the final in 2013 against Petra Kvitova. Sara is a monumental competitor and always trying to return one extra ball; however, this has been an extremely demanding week for the Italian. Adding to her singles matches, Errani has also been competing on doubles and in the past two days, she spent more than 7 hours on court.

This will be the 6th career contest between Errani and Strycova, with the Italian leading by 5 – 1 on h2h.

Despite Errani’s lead on h2h, the Czech knows how to bother the Italian and last year at Easbourne, she only lost in a third set tie break after missing two match points. Barbora can generate more power with her groundstrokes and at the same time, she can also handle Errani’s consistent baseline game. The Czech has been playing at a higher level this week, while Sara committed too many unforced errors in the previous matches – an average of 1.72 per game in the last two matches. With this in mind, we suggest to take advantage of Barbora’s tennis odds by adding the Czech to your tennis picks.
