WTA Dubai
The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship takes place in Dubai and will be played on Hard Court.

Main Contenders
The defending champion, Simona Halep, decided to postpone her nose surgery, in order to play Fed Cup and the WTA events in Dubai and Doha. It has been a slow start of year for Halep, losing at the Australian Open first round against Shuai Zhang. Adding to the nose problems, Simona also struggled with an Achilles injury in the first weeks of the year. This is an extremely competitive tournament and due to Simona’s physical issues, is hard to find any value on her at 5.00 on bet365.

After a slow start of season from Garbine Muguruza, with the Spaniard struggling with a foot injury, the world no.5 arrives to this tournament after a great weekend at Fed Cup. Muguruza will be looking to go a step further on this event this season, after losing to Karolina Pliskova at the semifinals. Garbine and Karolina might face again, but this time at the quarterfinals and whoever wins that contest has a great opportunity to reach the final. The Spaniard clearly raised her level on Fed Cup and this is a great opportunity for her to grab another trophy. With this in mind, we suggest to bet on Muguruza to win the title at 6.00 on bet365.

Despite her great run in St. Petersburg, it won’t be easy for Belinda Bencic to make the transition to this event. Belinda will have to switch from Indoor to Outdoor Hard Court, with very few time to adjust and facing on her debut the former world no.1, Jelena Jankovic. If Belinda manages to overcome that first contest, she should be favorite on the following matches against players like Andrea Petkovic, Camila Giorgi or Carla Suarez Navarro; however, there is very high risk on her first match against Jankovic and for that reason, we can’t find any value on her price at 6.00 on bet365.

It has been a terrible year for Petra Kvitova so far, with the Czech losing 4 of the 5 matches she played so far. Petra is known for her tremendous firepower, but also for being extremely inconsistent and she’s currently far from her best. Kvitova should have a very tough debut against Ekaterina Makarova and if she survives that first match, she might face another tremendous competitor, Sara Errani. Due to Petra’s poor performances and the tough competitors she has to face, we advise to avoid betting on her tennis odds at 5.50 on bet365.

Player To Keep An Eye On
After reaching the final last year, Karolina Pliskova will be looking for another good run on this event. The Czech was the national hero at their last Fed Cup tie against Romania, winning the two singles match and the deciding doubles contest. Karolina has been playing at a very good level this year, losing only to Simona Halep and against the dangerous Ekaterina Makarova on the Australian Open. As we already mentioned, Pliskova might face Muguruza on the quarterfinals and the winner of this event should reach the final. Having said that, we suggest adding Pliskova to your tennis picks at 11.00 on bet365.
