Five-time World Cup winners, The Selecao, are the only national team to win the trophy in 4 different continents and are amongst the 4 teams to have won the three most important soccer titles recognized by FIFA: World Cup, Confederations Cup and the Olympic tournament.

They smashed the opposition in the South America World Cup qualifiers finishing 1st, losing just 1 in their 18 fixtures, having the best attack with 41 goals scored in the process and the best defense with just 11 goals conceded. They were drawn in Group E against Switzerland, Serbia and Costa Rica, a relatively kind draw for Tite’s side. They sacked Carlos Dunga after failing to get past the group stages of the Copa America Centenario and replaced him with Tite who revived them, having an immediate impact and transforming the team into a great force. Brazil were the 1st national team to qualify for the World Cup in Russia and are 3rd favorites to win the competition being priced at +500 with PaddyPower.

Brazilian legend Pele believes that his national team has the best players in the world and is feeling confident that Tite is the man to bring home the 6th World Cup title. After being humiliated on home soil in 2014 when they lost 1-7 in the semi-finals to eventual winners Germany, the Selecao will be eager to show what they are capable of and win the competition. They have a talented squad, full of creativity and world class players. They are preparing for the big tournament with 2 friendly games in which the Selecao will face Russia in Moscow and Germany in Berlin, both in March.

Key Players:

- Goalkeeper – AS Roma’s Alisson Becker is Tite’s 1st choice but Manchester City’s Ederson is also on the list after an amazing season with his club. Liverpool are back in the market and reportedly closing in on Alisson being ready to smash the record fee as they believe he is the best goalkeeper in Europe right now.

- Defender – PSG’s Dani Alves and Real Madrid’s Marcelo are top of the list having great experience in the European soccer, playing at the highest level for a long period of time.

- Midfielder - Real Madrid’s Casemiro and Barcelona’s Paulinho were the most used players in the World Cup qualifiers so Tite will build his midfield around these 2 amazing players.

- Striker – Brazil’s attack is terrifyingly good. Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona for 275 million dollars making him the most expensive player in the world. He was replaced with another Brazilian super-star, Philippe Coutinho, who will also feature the Selecao World Cup 23-player roster. Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus has missed City’s 11 matches after sustaining knee ligament damage and he is yet to resume training, but he is expected to return to action in six weeks and be 100% fit for the World Cup.

Brazil national soccer team is a combination of individual skill, creativity, great tactics, to create the most exciting team to watch and to bet on. Brazil should be able to go deep in the tournament and why not, to win it or at least to qualify in the final. We expect them to show great attitude, offensive soccer, great tempo, quick touches and high scoring matches.
