The World Cup Qualifying campaign for South America kicks off this week, and we open with some very intriguing matches. Which soccer odds should we be exploiting?

Odds Overview
No surprise to see the Colombians favored, as they'll have the huge advantage of being at home. They're listed at approximately -215 to win outright and get their qualifying campaign off to a flying start.

If you're wanting to put your money on Peru, you can find a very appealing price of +830 at 5Dimes, with a draw quoted at +330 soccer odds.

Colombia
The last time we saw Colombia in competitive action, they were bowing out in the quarterfinals of the Copa America to the eventual runners-up in Argentina.

Despite that setback, the Colombians are armed and ready to go for World Cup Qualifying, and they've named a very strong squad for their first set of matches against Peru and then Uruguay next week. It's not going to be an easy road alongside the likes of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay, so every possible point up for grabs is of utmost importance.

Peru
Fresh off a great showing in the Copa America, where they finished in third place, Peru's found a new sense of confidence within South America.

That being said, they face a very tricky test to open up this qualifying campaign, away to a very talented Colombia outfit. Paolo Guerrero is the one to watch for the Peruvians.

World Cup Qualifying Pick
There's no doubt Peru is a scrappy team, but we feel better about backing Colombia as our soccer pick.

Not only will the Colombians have the benefit of being at home, they've simply got more talented across the pitch too. We're eager to see who starts up front, whether it be Falcao or someone else, but there are a number of other big names on the squad like James Rodriguez, Juan Cuadrado, Jackson Martinez and Carlos Bacca among a host of others.

It's most likely not going to come easy against a scrappy Peru outfit, but we have to put our faith in Colombia here in the WCQ opener.

Predicted Final Score: Colombia 2 Peru 1
