It’s been a long and not always auspicious qualifying campaign for the USA but they are finally within sight of their goal, qualification for next years World Cup.

One more win from their one remaining game will guarantee them a spot in the Worlds best International cup competition and they’ve just about done enough to deserve it.

Trinidad & Tobago on the other hand, have not. Since qualifying for the pyramid, they have lost 6 games on the trot. Their last win was against Panama (1-0) who the USA have just thumped for 4. Before that they had lost a further 3.

Trinidad & Tobago have beat the USA in World Cup Qualifying before but that was back in 2010 when Dwight Yorke and Ruseel Latapy were still playing for them. Of the 5 games since, the USA have won 4 and there has been 1 solitary draw.

So, bearing all of that in mind, the USA are rightfully the bookies favourites. Right now the best odds you can get on an away win is 1.48 and that’s a massive outlier from TempoBet. The best odds for a draw are 5 and you can get a home win for 9 with BetVictor. While there is some value on the way win at 1.48, I suspect you’ll be heavily restricted in getting a bet on, if you have a TempoBet account.

So, for any bets we wish to make, we need to look elsewhere.

Personally, there are two bets I’m seriously considering for this game. The first is in the Both Teams To Score market and I’m leaning towards the “No” for this one. T&T did get a goal against Mexico and have managed a goal in 3 of their last 4 but I think the USA will have their game faces on for this one and will keep things tight at the back.

At 1.85 with BetVictor I think it’s a valid option that truly deserves consideration.

My next option is to go for something in the half-time markets. By “something” I mean the USA to be winning at halftime and again we have decent odds here. Coral have it at 1.87, bet365 just a little bit lower at 1.83. 1.83 is enough for me but if you can get higher, go for it.

In the end, this will be a game that ends the qualification road for both these sides, Trinidad & Tobago will be hoping they can improve for 2022 but the United States will be of the opinion they haven’t finished their journey on this World Cup road just yet.
