Switzerland vs. France
Not much to complain about if you're a fan of the French team. They looked the part of true contender in their opener, which they won 3-0 over Honduras.

France was already piling on the pressure, but a red card for Wilson Palacios sucked out the energy from the Hondurans.

The French got two goals out of Karim Benzema, including a converted penalty, and the Real Madrid striker had a huge role in the third goal as well. It was a comfortable victory and one that was deserved thoroughly, with a huge amount of momentum gained by Didier Deschamps' team heading into the second match of the group.

There were few surprises to France's starting XI against Honduras. Deschamps started with a 4-3-3, with Lloris in goal and Debuchy, Varane, Sakho and Evra making up the defensive line. The midfield consisted of Cabaye, Pogba and Matuidi. Meanwhile, the attacking trio of Benzema, Valbuena and Griezmann caused a lot of problems.

Switzerland also grabbed a victory in their first match, though it came in much more dramatic fashion. A winning goal Haris Seferovic in stoppage time ended up being the difference in the 2-1 win over Ecuador.

The Swiss adopted a 4-2-3-1, with Inler and Behram acting as the holding midfielders and Shaqiri, Xhaka, Stocker and Drmic installed as the four attackers. It was Switzerland's two substitutes, Seferovic and Admir Mehmedi, that provided the all-important goals, so we could certainly see changes to the starting XI today.

Either way, we believe there's good value on the Swiss side. This is a team listed in sixth place in the FIFA rankings at the moment, so they've been competing at a very high level over the years. We need to see more out of France before we really trust them with our sports picks, so we'll bank on Switzerland getting at least a draw.

Honduras vs. Ecuador
Two nations that are very familiar with one another do battle tonight, with Ecuador favored in the soccer betting odds over Honduras.

You already know what happened in each team's first match. Both sides were on the losing end and will therefore know how crucial it will be to get a positive result inside Estadio Joaquim Americo. Another loss in this situation would be the killer blow.

Let's start with the favorites. Ecuador gave a good account of themselves against Switzerland, only to lose at the last moment. Tactical wise, they went with a standard 4-4-2 formation that featured Caicedo and Enner Valencia (who got the sole goal) up front. Antonio Valencia and Montero provided a lot of pace on either side for the Ecuadorians.

It's hard to find many good things to say about Honduras after their total letdown against France. Palacios' red card is a blow as he'll now have to sit out this upcoming match – he's one of the side's more experienced players in the middle.

The Hondurans also went with a 4-4-2, though they clearly didn't have nearly as much success. Will we see any modifications to the starting XI for tonight? And would it even make a difference against the Ecuadorians?

Ecuador, despite losing to the Swiss, shouldn't be forgotten about in Group E. This is a dangerous team that has a ton of pace, especially out on the wings where they'll look to pose problems for the Hondurans.

We weren't particularly impressed with anything about Honduras' opening effort against the French. So, when making our soccer picks, we feel we have no other choice but to recommend a win for the favorites, who looked much more lively last week. Back Ecuador.

World Cup Pick: Ecuador -143
