If a knockout stage game ends in a draw, there's a brief intermission and then the games will go into two 15-minute halves of extra time. If no team scores then the game would go into penalty kicks, as explained by FIFA rules:

"In the knockout stages, if a match is level at the end of normal playing time, extra time shall be played. Extra time shall consist of two 15-minute periods, with an interval of five minutes at the end of normal playing time, but not between the two periods of extra time. The players shall remain on the pitch during both of these intervals.

If the score is still level at the end of extra time, kicks from the penalty mark shall be taken to determine the winner, in accordance with the procedure specified in the Laws of the Game."

Women's World Cup games can end in a tie during the group stage but not in the knockout stage and in the potential penalty kicks, each team starts with five attempts.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Got the job done πŸ‘Š πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

On to Quarterfinals and a matchup with host France in Paris on Friday!#OneNationOneTeam pic.twitter.com/fOm1ZUIw0i
β€” U.S. Soccer WNT (@USWNT) June 24, 2019
"}[/]

USA would be eliminated from the World Cup if they lose against France on Friday's Quarterfinals game.
