Collier is one of the two captains for the All-Star Game opposite Caitlin Clark, who won't play tonight due to injury. She's also the league's leading scorer (23.2 PPG) and the runaway favorite by the WNBA All-Star MVP odds.
So it only makes sense for the best sports betting apps to list the Minnesota Lynx star as the front-runner to win this award, too, even if her best odds at DraftKings are still too short for my liking. After all, Collier was a regular-season MVP contender last season but played fewer than three minutes in the All-Star Game.
She'll play more than that this time, surely. But with these odds suggesting a better than 20% chance of her winning a game with few incentives and even less clarity on the rotation, I'm opting to dive a bit further down the oddsboard.
💰 Best bet to win WNBA All-Star Game MVP
⛹️♀️ Paige Bueckers (+1600)

📊 Best odds: +1600 via bet365 ($10 to win $160)
🔢 Implied probability: 5.88%
I highlighted Bueckers in my betting preview for this contest - specifically the value on her assists prop, as I expect her to be dishing it out to her veteran teammates in her first appearance on this stage.
I'm still not sure most WNBA fans realize how spectacular Bueckers has been as a rookie. She currently ranks eighth in scoring (18.4 PPG) and assists (5.5 APG) despite ranking outside the top 25 in usage rate, so she's plenty familiar with making every possession count even alongside other stars.
I'm expecting her to play somewhere between 20-30 minutes, which should be plenty of time for her to make an impact and prove why Clark isn't the only recent No. 1 pick worth your attention. Given that these odds project a mere 5.88% chance that Bueckers wins the award, I simply have to take a shot.
🎯 Best long shot to win WNBA All-Star Game MVP
⛹️♀️ Angel Reese (+3500)

📊 Best odds: +3500 via DraftKings ($10 to win $350)
🔢 Implied probability: 2.78%
You can fire off all the jokes you want about Reese's inconsistent shot, but she remains one of the faces of the league even as a sophomore. That matters when it comes to awards like these, which double as popularity contests.
She's also one of the most tenacious rebounders in WNBA history, and she's been playing some of her best basketball of late - averaging 18.1 points and 14.9 rebounds on 50.4% shooting over her last nine contests. It's not like she'll face any real defense around the rim in this exhibition, either.
Reese was one of two players with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in last year's All-Star Game. If she comes off the bench, attacks the glass with reckless abandon, and puts back every miss within her orbit to help favored Team Collier win the game? That feels more likely than these odds imply.
