Join us for our daily coverage of Wimbledon with American Serena Williams fighting for a place in the final at the All England Club.

Julia Goerges (13) vs. Serena Williams (25)

Julia Goerges dream run continues in Wimbledon. The German had never made it past the third round in her 10 previous appearances and had gone out in the first round for the past five years at the All England Club. However, the 29-year-old is playing the tennis of her life and is just one win away from her first Grand Slam final. Looking now at Julia’s campaign on this event, the world No.13 reaches this stage of the competition after a 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 win over Kiki Bertens.

Serena Williams recovered from a set down to beat Camila Giorgi and book her spot in the Wimbledon semifinals. The 36-year-old moved one step closer to her 24th Grand Slam title – the first since she became a mother. Known for having one of the best serves in tennis history, the seven-time Wimbledon champion fired 7 aces and won 81.25% of the points behind her first serve. On the other hand, the American only conceded six breaks of serve so far on this tournament.

These two players will face each other fourth time in their careers with Williams yet to drop a set against this opponent.

In addition to Serena’s lead on the head-to-head, it won’t be easy for Goerges to perform at her best in her first Grand Slam semifinal. For that reason, it’s not surprising that Williams is the heavy favorite to win this match at -357 with Bet365. Even though we expect a straight-sets win from the American, it’s hard to find any value on her current -1.5 Set Handicap at -127 with Pinnacle. For that reason, our advice is for you to wait for an in-play opportunity to grab a better price on Serena.

Jelena Ostapenko (12) vs. Angelique Kerber (11)

Jelena Ostapenko became the first Latvian woman to reach the semifinals at Wimbledon. The former French Open champion produced a stunning performance to beat Dominika Cibulkova in straight-sets. Known as one of the most aggressive players on the WTA Tour, Ostapenko had too much firepower for Cibulkova with 33 winners against only 6 from the Slovak. Adding to this, the 21-year-old won 22 of 30 points played on Dominika’s second serve.

Two-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber continues her quest for a first title at the All England Club. Kerber needed seven match points to defeat young Russian Daria Kasatkina in an hour and 31 minute to progress to the semifinals. Despite Kasatkina’s undeniable talent, the 21-year-old couldn’t find an answer to Kerber’s defensive skills with 31 unforced errors to just 14 from the German.

This should be an exciting match-up between two players with extreme contrast in styles. The speed and exceptional defense of Kerber against the powerful tennis of Ostapenko. The sportsbooks are expecting a close encounter with Angelique as the slight favorite at -149 with 5Dimes. Nevertheless, it won’t be easy for the German to overcome such a dangerous player on these fast conditions as Ostapenko. Having said that, the value is definitely on the Latvian’s tennis betting odds to reach her second Grand Slam final at +141 at Pinnacle.
