We preview the Wimbledon R16 matchups from a betting perspective noting that Azarenka, Wozniacki and Keys are potential contenders to advance into the quarterfinals.

Olga Govortsova +250 vs. Madison Keys -333
Madison Keys was the standout player at the 2015 Australian Open when she navigated a run all the way to her  first-ever major semi-final. At Wimbledon, the American is underscoring her tennis odds as a dangerous floater and a promising prospect in the women's game with a R16 appearance. Can she go one better at the expense of Olga Govortsova?

By the tennis odds, the resounding answer is yes. Lindsay Davenport's protégé has the perfect game for grass. What's more, she falls into a fortuitous section of the draw that has served up many big upsets, namely the exits of both Makarova and Kvitova. Keys owns the 1-0 edge over Govortsova, having beaten the Belarusian in the qualifiers of Miami in 2012. On paper, she has the considerable edge over her counterpart that ranks outside of the top 100.

Tennis Picks: Keys -333

Caroline Wozniacki -188 vs. Garbine Muguruza +150
Caroline Wozniacki enters the R16 as the -188 favourite despite trailing 1-2 to Garbine Muguruza lifetime. That said she did win their last encounter in Tokyo 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, which should send her into this match with a measure of optimism. Spain's rising star Muguruza though must fancy her chances as the nominal +150 underdog in the Wimbledon odds board. She upset the tenth seed Angelique Kerber in the previous round, so it wouldn't be a stretch to predict the upset here. Truth be told, Wozniacki has had a much easier path into the R16 than Muguruza, which could be a disadvantage as the Spaniard should prove a stern test.

Timea Bacsinszky -350 vs. Monica Niculescu +275
Timea Bacsinszky is proving her run at the French Open was no fluke as she navigates a course into the R16 at the All England Club. She beat the tennis odds in the third round when she upset Sabine Lisicki, a sleeper tennis pick in many tennis betting circles. Her reward is a much easier matchup against Monica Niculescu on paper. The Romanian is a tricky player to play against though, her bag of tricks so full. Still, if Bacsinszky's confidence is as high as we believe it is, she should be a sure thing to through to the quarterfinals.

Tennis Picks: Bacsinszky -350

Victoria Azarenka -275 vs. Belinda Bencic +225
Victoria Azarenka takes on Belinda Bencic for the first time, but she enters their R16 clash as the significant favourite at -275 tennis odds to win outright. The Belarusian is  a former World No.1 and two-time champion. That she ranks two places behind Bencic is a moot point. Bencic, though, won the title in Eastbourne, the week prior to Wimbledon. She defeated Radwanska in the final, a feat that should give her confidence for this match. In more ways than one, this is a tough match to call. Bencic is much better than her +225 tennis odds would suggest. That said Azarenka's experience and desire to return to the top of the game could be too much for the Swiss to handle.

Tennis Picks: Azarenka -275
