Although jumps racing takes place all year round, it’s the period between November and April that’s regarded as the significant six months of the National Hunt season.
And it’s the latter chunk of this half-year where the season reaches the final furlong, with the Cheltenham Festival running over four days from Tuesday 12th March until Friday 15th March 2019. All roads then lead to Aintree a month later, culminating in the Grand National on Saturday 6th April.
Every race throughout the season can be bet on with William Hill and there are plenty of offers to enhance the experience further.
What’s more, just betting £1 or more on any race will allow you to watch it on WHTV. So you’ll know immediately if your horse falls at the first fence, pulls up or comes with a barnstorming late surge to win the race in the shadows of the finishing post. Terms and conditions apply for these offers.
The Welcome Offers
Whether you’re an aficionado, you’ve been given a tip by the owner of the local Chinese restaurant, you like the name of a horse in the newspaper or you want to place a birthday bet for a relative, there are two new customer offers for you to take advantage of online.
It’s a bit of a photo finish in terms of which is the best for you.
If you have a particular horse in mind to back, the winner may be the bet £10 and then receive £30 in free bets offer. Offer is supported by following KQCs: New William Hill online customers only. Min. unit stake of £10/€10 at odds of 1/2 or greater. Only the “win” part from EW bets will count. Free bet terms, payment method & country restrictions apply. Free bets credited as 3 x £10/€10. Free bet stakes are not returned as part of the settlement of successful free bets. All Free Bets must be wagered within 30 days.
Tense finishes won by short heads and noses may ramp up the excitement right to the finishing post, but it’s dominant successes that have the power to top up your winnings.
With High 5, you’ll get a 15% free bet bonus on top of your standard winnings should your selection bound to victory by a winning distance of five lengths or further. KCQs: Selected races. Paid as a free bet. Singles only. 6+ runners. Max bonus £100. Free bet rules & terms apply.
One in every three races during the 2017/18 jumps season saw a victor by such a substantial margin, which resulted in over 450,000 free bets being credited.
There are some stipulations, including that all qualifying races must have a minimum of six runners.
In the same way a jockey needs to correctly time their finishing sprint, another way to enrich your winnings is to place your bets with William Hill when Flash Odds are live. Stake limits apply. Limited availability T&C apply.
Living up to its name, Flash Odds are only on offer in brief periods, offering enhanced prices on selected horses for short windows of time.
Over 40 Flash Odds winners were witnessed last season.
No doubt you may feel that your selections are never the ones receiving the Flash Odds treatment. But fear not, Bet Boost puts the choice in your hands as to which horses see their prices bumped up.
Offer key qualified criteria (KQCs) are:
One bet Boost on horse racing singles per customer, per day. Max stake £40 win or £20 EW. On EW bets, only “win” part Boosted. Mobile and new desktop only. Player restrictions and terms apply. T&C apply.
You’ll be able to benefit from one Bet Boost per day but, for the bigger meetings shown on ITV, you can enjoy an extra Bet Boost on every race featuring on the live transmission.
William Hill paid out over 800,000 successful Bet Boosts last season.
Typical each-way terms reward the first three finishers in a race, although if your selection is running in a handicap with 16 runners or more, you’ll also get paid on the fourth.
But how good would it be to get even more places as part of an each-way bet?
William Hill provides exactly this on selected races, offering enhanced places. So instead of each-way meaning three places, you’ll get five and sometimes more instead.
