Will "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt & John Cena's Firefly Fun House Match Save WrestleMania 36?

WrestleMania 36 was pre-taped, giving WWE a chance to create unforgettable moments. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena in a Firefly Fun House match can be an example of this.

WWE recently announced that WrestleMania 36 will take place on April 4th and April 5th at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, with no audience.

Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will host the event, which will start at 7:00 PM ET both nights. WrestleMania 36 was going to be at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay on April 5th.

The decision to change the venue was made due to the coronavirus outbreak worldwide. BetOnline released many odds for this event. You can check them out at the end of this article.

What To Expect From This Match?

Bray Wyatt re-invented himself and revived his career with his kids’ show host character in the Firefly Fun House and with “The Fiend.” If anyone has the creativity to make this match work is Wyatt. It also helps the match that John Cena is now a big movie star and he is arguably one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history. Wyatt and Cena can steal the show.

Expect to see Wyatt’s puppet friends Abby The Witch, Mercy The Buzzard, Rambling Rabbit and Huskus The Pig Boy appear in the match. These four characters played a big part in the success of the Firefly Fun House and they will get involved in this match somehow.

The puppets can distract Cena by appearing in the background or maybe WWE can use CGI or have someone dress up as them. They might even have wrestlers portray them and give Wyatt a new faction. Wyatt has been using the hashtag #KultOfWindham on Twitter recently and it can be a hint of what’s to come. Windham is his real name.

Wyatt constantly switching from his regular self to “The Fiend” is another possibility. He has done this to some extent since the Firefly Fun House’s debut almost a year ago but he can do the same over the match, confusing Cena. Hopefully, we will witness something that’s never been done in WWE.

Wyatt and Cena’s Past

John Cena will be facing “The Fiend” for the first time but six years ago he beat Wyatt at WrestleMania 30, which eventually led to Wyatt’s new characters.

This feud is based on Wyatt experiencing a downward spiral of failure and negativity in his personal and professional life after losing to Cena that time and it eventually led to the creation of “The Fiend.”

Wyatt was reportedly given complete creative liberty with this match. WWE filmed it with much of his ideas in mind and apparently, John Cena helped get approval for Wyatt’s ideas. We are in for a treat. If you want to bet WrestleMania I would look to other matches for value. I will just enjoy this particular because I can’t take Wyatt at -500 betting odds and while there’s value on Cena at +300, I made other moves on the card.
