We’re already into Week 10 of the MLS Regular Season and this weekend’s slate kicks off Friday at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando where OCSC hosts the New York Red Bulls in the weekend’s lidlifter.

On Saturday, there are 7 more games including a Colorado Rapids-Real SLC showdown in suburban Denver while sunday serves up 2 solid matches including the LA Galaxy hosting the New England Revolution at the StubHub Center in Carson.

So let’s take our weekly thumbnail sketch look at the Three-Way Odds and Totals, TV coverage along with some basic handicapping information for all 10 matches and offer up some Picks for some games along with some distinguished Best Bets picks.

Friday, May 6, 2016

Who: Orlando City SC vs. New York Red Bulls
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, MLS Game #86
Where: Citrus Bowl, Orlando, Florida
When: Friday, May 6, 7 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. PDT [Saturday 00:00]
TV: UniMás, MLS Live, Univision Deportes USA (US), Sky Sports 1/HD UK, Sky Go UK, SKY GO Extra (UK), MLS Live (CAN), FOX Sports Cono Sur (URUGUAY)
3-Way Odds: Orlando City +125, RBNY +200, Draw +240 (Betfred)
Total: 2½ Over -150, Under +110 (Sky Bet)

The Skinny: The New York Red Bulls (3-0-6—W-D-L, 13 GF-15 GA) have been the worst Road club so far this Regular Season in the MLS (0-0-4, 1 GF-8 GA) with just 1 Goal scored and have a -7 GD away from Home on a team which is usually known for being able to score Goals with players like Bradley Wright-Phillips (2 goals, both in the first meeting between these two on April 24 in Harrison, NJ), Mike Grella (3 goals) and Felipe (3 goals).

And Orlando City SC (2-4-2, 15 GF-13 GA) also has some guys who can put the ball in the net themselves including 2015 Rookie of the Year Cyle Larin (4 goals), Kevin Molino (3 goals) and playmaker Kaká, so this could be a high-scoring affair if you read into the soccer odds. OCSC 1-3-0 (9 GF-6 GA) is unbeaten at Home this year but has 3 Draws in 4 matches at the Citrus Bowl where the TWC Weather Forecast for Friday night calls for Clear Skies, a Low Temperature of 58° (Fahrenheit) with Winds W at 10 to 20 mph.

So, the Winds could provide some problems and 58° isn’t exactly warm for May for the Sunshine State, but it isn’t close to being Cold either. With OCSC just expanding into the MLS last season, these two have played only 3 times (RBNY 3-2 OCSC, RBNY 2-5 OCSC, OCSC 0-RBNY 2) with the Red Bulls 2-0-1 and a robust Total of 14 Goals being scored in those 3 meetings (4.67 gpg), 2 of which went Over the posted 2½ Totals.

Final Score Prediction: Orlando SC 2 Red Bulls 2
Picks: Over 2½ -150 (Sky Bet), Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -175 (PaddyPower)

Saturday, May 7, 2016

Who: Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Portland Timbers
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, MLS Game #87
Where: BC Place, Vancouver, British Columbia
When: Saturday, May 7, 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT [Saturday 22:00]
TV: TSN1, FOX 12, MLS Live (US), Sky Sports 3/HD, NOW TV US, Sky Go UK, SKY GO Extra (UK), MLS Live (CAN), LeTV (CHINA), Eurosport 2 Nordic (SWE), EuroSport 2 Spain (ESP)
3-Way Odds: Whitecaps +130, Timbers +187, Draw +229 (Coral)
Total: 2½ Over -125, Under -110 (totesport)

The Skinny: Fanendo Adi (7 goals) and the defending MLS champion Portland Timbers (3-3-3, 14 GF-16 GA) head north across the Canadian border to Vancouver to face the Whitecaps (3-2-5, 12 GF-15 GA), a club which has won just 2 times in 14 MLS lifetime matches against Portland, although both of those Wins have come in the L6 meetings.

This should be one of the better matches of the weekend with Pedro Morales (4 goals) and the Whitecaps really needing the Win and to protect the Home turf while the Timbers have finally warmed up and are unbeaten in their L3. Because Portland (0-2-2, 4 GF-8 GA) beat Vancouver here in the crucial Leg 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals last season (2-0 after a scoreless 0-0 leg 1 in Portland) and has dominated for so long, the Timbers should be Confident, but because of the Site, this one best fits the Draw mold.

The Weather Forecast for Vancouver on Saturday afternoon calls for ideal conditions: Sunny Skies, a High of 72° with light Winds of 5-10 mph, so absolutely perfect as if ordered by Mother Nature herself. Props to the Chef. The Timbers would be worth consideration in the Draw No Bet marketplace (Timbers +111, Marathon) if they only had a Road Win to show after 4 tries away from Home and this one should be tight and low-scoring as the Under has W4 straight in this series (L5 Meetings: VAN 0-2 POR, POR 0-0 VAN, POR 1-1 VAN, POR 0-0 VAN, VAN 2-1 POR), averaging just 1.0 gpg with the Whitecaps scoring just once in those L4 games.

Final Score Prediction: Whitecaps 1 Timbers 1
Pick: Under 2½ +104 (Marathon)

Who: Toronto FC vs. FC Dallas
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, MLS Game #88
Where: BMO Field, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
When: Saturday, May 7, 7:30 p.m. EDT/4:30 p.m. PDT [Sunday 00:30]
TV: TSN4, TXA-21, MLS Live (US), TSN1, TSN GO, TSN4, MLS Live (CAN), Abu Dhabi Sports 4 HD (UAE), beIN Sports Australia, beIN Sports Connect Australia (AUSTRALIA), LeTV (CHINA)
3-Way Odds: Toronto FC +110, FC Dallas +240, Draw +250 (Sky Bet)
Total: 2½ Over -150, Under +110 (Paddy Power)

The Skinny: The Both Teams To Score (‘Yes’) has W4 in a row in this series (L5 Meetings: DAL 3-2 TOR, DAL 2-1 TOR, TOR 2-2 DAL, DAL 1-1 TOR, TOR 0-1 DAL) while the L3 games in this series have gone Over the Total, averaging 4.0 gpg. And with players like Michael Barrios (4 goals), Max Urruti (3 goals), Tesho Akindele (3 goals) and Fabian Castillo (2 goals) on FC Dallas and the prolific Sebastian Giovinco (6 goals) on Toronto FC, there should be some Goals scored here at BMO Field as the Reds (3-2-3, 9 GF-7 GA) finally get to play their first Home match of the Regular Season in this inter-conference affair from TO on Saturday evening.

The Weather Forecast for Toronto calls for a steady Rain with possible Thunder, a High of 45° with gusty NW Winds of 15-25 mph and 69% Humidity. So, pretty damn crappy for the Home Opener which you waited 10 weeks for as Climate Change helps to slowly dump more Water on the World’s heads all year-long, possibly affecting some soccer picks in Week 10.

Final Score Prediction: Toronto FC 2 FC Dallas 1
Picks: Over 2½ -125, Both Teams To Score (‘Yes’) -153 (BetVictor)

Who: Columbus Crew vs. Montréal Impact
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, MLS Game #89
Where: Mapfre Stadium, Columbus, Ohio
When: Saturday, May 7, 7:30 p.m. EDT/4:30 p.m. PDT [Sunday 00:30]
TV: RDS, MLS Live, TWCSC-Ohio Directv (US), Sky Sports 3/HD, Sky Go UK, SKY GO Extra (UK/IRELAND), TSN 690 Montréal, MLS Live (CAN), LeTV, Boss Football Channel (CHINA)
3-Way Odds: Crew +100, Impact +280, Draw +250 (BetVictor)
Total: 2½ Over -125, Under +100 (Coral)

The Skinny: The Weather Forecast in the Ohio capital for Saturday night looks Frightful (Thunderstorms, 51°, Winds NW 10-20 mph, 80% Chance of Rain), so footing may be dicey and the ball heavy as Didier Drogba (2 goals) and the Montréal Impact invade Mapfre Stadium for the second meeting of the season between these two Eastern Conference sides with the Impact winning 2-0 at Olympic Stadium back on April 9.

We can definitely expect a better performance from Kei Kamara and Columbus (2-2-4, 7 GF-10 GA) although Montréal did win in Columbus for the first time in 6 tries last year (2-1). With the former Chelsea legend and 38-year-old Drogba getting the best out of his Impact teammates, this one could evolve into a Shootout, Weather permitting although sometimes Bad Weather actually leads to easy scoring.

Final Score Prediction: Crew 2 Impact 1
Picks: Over 2½ -125 (Coral), Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -142 (BetVictor)

Who: Houston Dynamo vs. Sporting Kansas City
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, Game #90
Where: BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston, Texas
When: Saturday, May 7, 8:30 p.m. EDT/5:30 p.m. PDT [Sunday 01:30]
TV: KMCI-38, ROOT Sports SW, Directv, MLS Live (US); MLS Live (CAN), LeTV (CHINA), LeTV (HONG KONG), Abu Dhabi Sports 5 HD (UAE)
3-Way Odds: Dynamo +130, Sporting Kansas City +200, Draw +229 (Boylesports)
Total: 2½ Over -111, Under -111 (Unibet)

The Skinny: The L5 meetings (HOU 1-0 SKC, SKC 1-1 HOU, HOU 4-4 SKC, SKC 1-3 HOU, HOU 0-2 SKC) in this series has seen the Home team win just once and the Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ W3 0f those 5 with only 2 of those meetings going Over. Will Bruin (1 goal) and Houston (1-2-5, 14 GF-16 GA) have been in horrible Form (Loss-Loss-Draw-Loss-Loss-Loss) and sit in 10th and last place in the Western Conference heading in here while Dominic Dwyer (4 goals) and Sporting Kansas City (4-2-4, 11 GF-10 GA) having just 1 Win in its L5 matches (Win-Loss-Loss-Loss-Draw-Draw). So, because of the Site, the Draw may be worth a look and SKC (2-1-2, 5 GF-4 GA) looks like the better team and may be a good play on the Draw No Bet Line (SKC Draw No Bet +120, Paddy Power).

Final Score Prediction: Dynamo 1 Sporting Kansas City 1
Picks: None

Who: Colorado Rapids vs. Real Salt Lake
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, Game #91
Where: Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Commerce City, Colorado
When: Saturday, May 7, 9 p.m. EDT/6:00 p.m. PDT [Sunday 02:00]
TV: KMYU, Altitude, MLS Live, Directv (US), MLS Live (CAN), LeTV (HONG KONG)
3-Way Odds: Rapids +100, Real Salt Lake +275, Draw +240 (Sky Bet)
Total: 2½ Over -115, Under -115 (Coral)

The Skinny: Two of the more impressive clubs early on so far this MLS season in the Western Conference, the 1st-place Colorado Rapids (5-2-2, 12 GF-8 GA) welcome 2nd-place Real Salt Lake (5-2-1, 14 GF-12 GA) to The Dick on Saturday night for a battle for 1st place. Real Salt Lake (1-2-1, 8 GF-10 GA) has done extremely well at Colorado of late, with the Rapids just 1-4-2 over their L7 here against their Rocky Mountain rivals at Home in Commerce City.

But this is an improved Rapids (4-0-0, 7 GF-2 GA at Home) side which hasn’t suffered a Loss here at Home and has allowed just 2 Goals so far in 4 games. But this will be a real—no pun intended—test for the Hosts as Joao Plata (4 goals) and Real SLC are playing some pretty good Soccer themselves.

Final Score Prediction: Rapids 1 Real SLC 1
Pick: Under 2½ -115 (Coral)

Who: Seattle Sounders vs. San José Earthquakes
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, WMLS Week #92
Where: CenturyLink, Seattle, Washington
When: Saturday, May 7, 10 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. PDT [Sunday 03:00]
TV: CSN-Bay Area, Q13FOX, MLS Live, Directv (US), MLS Live (CANADA), LeTV (CHINA), beIN Sports Sports Australia, beIN Sports Connect Australia (AUS), LeTV (HONG KONG)
3-Way Odds: Sounders -110, Earthquakes +310, Draw +260 (BetVictor)
Total: 2½ Over -125, Under +110 (Betfred)

The Skinny: The Under is 4-1 in the L5 meetings in his series (SJ 1-0 SEA, SEA 0-2 SJ, SEA 2-3 SJ, SEA 1-1 SJ, SJ 1-0 SEA) with Chris Wondolowski (7 goals) and the Earthquakes are actually unbeaten 2-0-1 in their L3 trips to Seattle. This should be one of the better games of the weekend with Clint Dempsey and Seattle (3-1-4, 8 GF-10 GA) warming up after a nasty start and San José (4-3-2, 12 GF-11 GA) playing some good Soccer although still winless on The Road (0-2-2, 5 GF-9 GA).

The Weather Forecast for the Emerald City on Saturday night calls for Partly Cloudy conditions, a Low of 54° with Winds of 5-10 mph, so fairly Chilly for Spring, even for the Pacific Northwest.

Final Score Prediction: Sounders 2 Earthquakes 1
Picks: Over 2½ -117 (BetVictor), Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -129 (888sport)

Sunday, May 8, 2016

Who: LA Galaxy vs. New England Revolution
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, MLS Game #93
Where: StubHub Center, Carson, California
When: Sunday, May 8, 3:35 p.m. EDT/12:35 p.m. PDT [Sunday 20:35]
TV: ESPN, MLS Live (US), MLS Live (CAN), beIN Sports Australia, beIN Sports Connect Australia (AUSTRALIA)
3-Way Odds: LA Galaxy -166, NE Revolution +450, Draw +300 (Sky Bet)
Total: 2½ Over 2½ -135, Under +118 (Marathon)

The Skinny: There has been a bunch of Goals in the L5 Meetings in this series (NE 2-2 LA, LA 2-1 NE, LA 5-1 NE, NE 5-0 LA, LA 1-3 NE) with the Over a perfect 5-0 in the L5 with an gaudy average of 4.20 gpg being scored. Robbie Keane (2 goals) had Knee Surgery and is back training with the team but the veteran Irishman did not feature in the Galaxy’s 1-1 Draw with Sporting Kansas City in Week 9 action, but Head Coach Bruce Arena’s Roster is loaded with scorers including Gyasi Zardes (4 goals), Giovani dos Santos (4 goals) and Mike Magee (3 goals) and this loaded club are the now Oddsmakers big favorites to win the MLS Cup (4/1, BetVictor).

The LA Galaxy could go Over the posted 2½ Total themselves here against Diego Fagundez (3 goals) and the visiting New England Revolution (1-7-2, 11 GF-16 GA) who are still stuck on 1 Win, and winless in their L5 matches (DDLDD).

Predicted Final Score: LA Galaxy 3 NE Revolution 1
Picks: LA Galaxy -150 (Coral), Over 2½ -162, Both Teams To Score (‘Yes’) -135 (888sport)

Who: DC United vs. New York City FC
What: MLS Regular Season Week 10, MLS Game #94
Where: RFK Stadium, Washington, DC
When: Sunday, May 8, 7:35 p.m. EDT/4:35 p.m. PDT [Sunday 20:35]
TV: Fox Sports 1, MLS Live (US), Sky Sports 3/HD, Sky Go UK, KY GO Extra (UK), MLS Live (CANADA), Sky Sports 3/HD, Sky Go UK, KY GO Extra (IRELAND), EuroSport Spain (ESP)
3-Way Odds: DC United +125, NYCFC +212, Draw +240 (Sky Bet)
Total: 2½ Over -142, Under +126 (Marathon)

The Skinny: NYCFC (3-0-6, 12 GF-17 GA) snapped a 7-match winless run in a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps in Week 9 play, as Spanish sensation David Villa scored 2 Goals for the third time this season in the win last Saturday at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx.

So Villa, Thomas McNamara (2 goals) and the visitors should be feeling good heading in here to RFK but DCU (2-4-3, 11 GF-11 GA) doesn’t usually like to lose on its Home turf (2-2, 8 GF-5 GA), although Argentinian Fabián Espíndola (3 goals) and Puerto Rican Álvaro Saborío (3 goals) and the hosts have done so twice already this young season.

Showers are in the Forecast for DC on Sunday night with a Low of 57° and S Winds 5-10 mph, so the Conditions make recommending the Over difficult, although both sides should surely score here in this spot.

Final Score Prediction: DC United 1 NYCFC 1
Pick: Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -181 (BetVictor)

MLS SOCCER WEEK 10 FRIDAY BEST BETS: New York Red Bulls-Orlando City SC Over 2½ -150 (Sky Bet), RBNY-OCSC Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -175 (Paddy Power)

MLS SOCCER WEEK 10 SATURDAY BEST BETS: Whitecaps-Timbers Under 2½ +104 (Marathon), Toronto FC-FC Dallas Over 2½ -125, Toronto FC-FC Dallas Both Teams To Score (‘Yes’) -153 (BetVictor), Rapids-Real SLC Under 2½ -115 (Coral), Crew-Impact Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -142 (BetVictor), Sounders-Earthquakes Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ -129 (888sport)

MLS SOCCER WEEK 10 SUNDAY BEST BETS: LA Galaxy -150 (Coral), LA Galaxy-NE Revolution Over 2½ -162 (Coral), LA Galaxy-NE Revolution Both Teams To Score (‘Yes’) -135 (888sport)
