Our latest three-pack of NBA picks has us fading three Western Conference teams with injury problems, including the Oklahoma City Thunder – Russell Westbrook’s triple-doubles notwithstanding.

Jason’s record as of Mar. 9: 46-42-4 ATS, 4-8 Totals

We’re getting down to the nitty-gritty, folks. There are 20 games left to go in the 2014-15 NBA regular season, the trade deadline has come and gone, and we’ve got a pretty clear idea now what these 30 teams are made of. “We” meaning people who pay attention to these things, of course. This is the right time of year for sharp handicappers to swoop in and find some bargains on the NBA odds board. Not that any of us here at the home office self-identifies as sharp. We’re merely humble purveyors of information. You’re the Decider.

Sacramento Kings vs. Charlotte Hornets (7:00 p.m. ET)
That thing we said last month about “buying low” on the Kings (21-41 SU, 24-36-2 ATS) now that George Karl is their head coach? Yeah, that’s not working. Sacramento is 3-7 SU and ATS since Karl came aboard. He might be the right man going forward, but he’s still working with a bunch of players who were assembled to play a different style of basketball – minus Darren Collison (17.7 PER), who’s probably out the rest of the year with a hip flexor issue.

The Hornets (28-34 SU, 30-30-2 ATS) have been difficult to pin down this year, but they’re on the upswing right now at 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six games. There’s a chance that Kemba Walker (18.6 PER) could return from his torn lateral meniscus in this game; Cody Zeller (14.2 PER) is also questionable after spraining his shoulder on Monday. Count us in regardless.

Free NBA Pick: Take the Hornets at 5Dimes

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":339099, "sportsbooksIds":[19,43,227,1096,999996,93,238,123,139], "LineTypeId":5, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Check Out This NBA Pick for Bulls vs. Sixers

L.A. Clippers vs. Oklahoma City (8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN)
As much as we like the moves the Thunder (35-28 SU, 30-31-2 ATS) made at the deadline, and as much as we like watching Russell Westbrook (30.1 PER) rack up those triple-doubles, this team is still in danger of missing the playoffs without Kevin Durant (27.8 PER) in the lineup. Oklahoma City is 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in its past six games while Westbrook does his heavy-volume thing.

Break up the Clippers (41-23 SU, 28-36 ATS)! They’re 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six, and they’re 2-0 ATS after signing Nate Robinson to a 10-day contract. Robinson is only a combined 1-of-15 from the field since joining the Clippers, but his arrival moves our good friend Austin Rivers (11.4 PER) to shooting guard, where he’s 13-of-22 these past two games. Baby steps.

Free NBA Pick: Take the Clippers at The Greek

For More NBA Updates & Picks, Click Here!

Houston Rockets vs. Portland Trailblazers (10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Remember how the Trail Blazers (41-20 SU, 31-29-1 ATS) went into a tailspin last year and nearly missed the playoffs before getting hot again in late March? Well, don’t look now, but Wesley Matthews (16.1 PER) is down for the count with a torn Achilles, and his replacement is Aaron Afflalo (11.3 PER), who’s having a lousy season thus far. Afflalo was 5-of-12 in his first start for Portland, Saturday’s 121-113 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves (+5 at home). Even if Afflalo can find his shooting touch again, Portland’s bench has been reduced to rubble.

No problems with depth in Houston, where the Rockets (43-20 SU, 37-26 ATS) are 13-6 SU and 12-7 ATS since Dwight Howard (18.1 PER) left the lineup. As useful as Howard is, he’s a minus-1.3 BPM for Houston this year. The Rox are doing just fine with a smaller lineup – especially now that Terrence Jones (19.0 PER) is back and healthy. And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention James Harden (27.0 PER). He leads the NBA in Win Shares (13.0) and VORP (6.2) as we go to press, which makes Harden our clear choice for MVP: Most Valuable Pelage.

Free NBA Pick: Take the Rockets at BetOnline
