US Open quarter-finals get underway this Tuesday and we'll analyze the two matches from Women's side searching for valuable betting opportunities to wager on.

Serena Williams (1) vs. Venus Williams (23)
The two Williams sisters will fight for a place in semi-finals with Serena trying to keep her Golden Grand Slam hopes alive.

Serena had a tough start on this event with her hardest match in 3rd round against Bethanie Mattek-Sands where she lost first set but managed to raise the level to win in a close second one and finish with 6 – 0 on third set. The World No. 1 faced another American player in 4th round and her level was much higher defeating Madison Keys 6 – 3 6 – 3, winning 75% of points on serve and not facing a single break point.

Venus is back to quarter-finals of US Open for the first time since 2010, the two times US Open champion had a slow start losing a set against Monica Puig and Irina Falconi but managed to improve her tennis in last two matches defeating Belinda Bencic and Anett Kontaveit in straight sets. One of the biggest problems for Venus is to keep the intensity and also a good % of first serve, however in this event only once she was below 60% and is averaging 61.75% first serve in.

Serena is the heavy favorite for this contest and she leads h2h 15 – 11 with 6 wins in last 7 matches, however this is never an easy match to play against her sister and Venus has the game to put a good fight. Venus has been able to get good decent % of first serve in and when she’s serving above 60% is always very hard to break her. Serena’s handicap for this match is -5 at 1.88 however there isn’t any value on this bet, not only because is never easy for her to face her sister but also because Venus is performing and serving at a very high level.

Our advice is to avoid betting on this match because Serena price is overrated, however Venus can always be very inconsistent and there isn’t also trust to pick a positive handicap on her.

Kristina Mladenovic vs. Roberta Vinci
Kristina Mladenovic is for the first time in quarter-finals of a Grand Slam event, the French was always a promising player with a big serve, forehand and great attacking tennis however has struggled to play her best in a consistent basis. Kristina is doing a good run and comes from a big win against Ekaterina Makarova 7 – 6 4 – 6 6 – 1 where she ended the match with 39 winners, 25 unforced errors and won 11 of 11 points at the net. Was one of Mladenovic best career performances but now she’ll have to face a very tricky opponent in the biggest match of her life.

Roberta Vinci has her best career results in majors on US Open where she reaches for the third time quarter-finals, she was never able to go further but has a very good opportunity here. Vinci is far from an impressive player not having a big game but she’s one of the smartest players on court with her backhand slice being a great weapon to change the pace of the rallies and she also comes a lot to the net where she feels extremely comfortable.

This will be the first match between the two and is never easy for a player to face for the first time Roberta Vinci. The Italian has a very unique game style and she won’t give the pace Mladenovic likes to hit her big forehands. The French has a big game but also can be very erratic and Vinci with her slices and changes of pace will be extremely hard for Mladenovic to handle and we have good value on Vinci.

Tennis Pick: Roberta Vinci ML at +129 at Pinnacle
