Regardless of Tuesday’s outcome, Querrey already secured his career-high ranking next week with an unprecedented appearance in the top 15. At the age of 29, Querrey is trying to become the first American player to reach the U.S. Open semifinals since Andy Roddick in 2006. The 2016 Wimbledon semifinalist needed only 77 minutes to finish off Mischa Zverev in the previous round with 18 aces, 55 winners and only 8 unforced errors.

After a slow start to 2017, Anderson continues his sensational run in North America. Besides reaching the Citi Open final, the 31-year-old holds an 11-3 record in the U.S. Open Series. Known as one of the best servers in the game, Anderson has won 96.90% of his service games in this event. Nevertheless, the South African was far from impressive in the previous round against Paolo Lorenzi with a terrible 0.40 winners/unforced errors ratio from the baseline.

This will be the 16th career meeting between these two players with Querrey leading 9-6.

As the h2h suggests, there isn’t much separating these two players. Despite Sam’s brilliant performance in the previous round, it won’t be easy for the American to break Anderson’s powerful serve. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to add the 'over' to your betting picks in a match where should have at least four sets and a couple of tie breaks between two of the best servers on the ATP Tour.

Venus Williams (9) vs. Petra Kvitova (13)

As we predicted in our WTA U.S. Open Day 7 analysis, Kvitova proved to be a great investment against Garbine Muguruza. Despite Garbine’s incredible results in recent months, the 23-year-old couldn’t find the answer to Kvitova’s powerful game style. Taking a look now at Petra’s numbers from the previous round, the highlight definitely goes to her performance on pressure points with the two-time Wimbledon champion winning 75.00% of the points when facing break points. Adding to this, Kvitova only allowed 7 winners from the Spaniard throughout the entire match.

Williams continues her quest for a third U.S. Open title. Known as a big-match player, the former world No. 1 holds a phenomenal 86.36% winning record in Grand Slam events in 2017. Known as one of the most aggressive players in the game, the 37-year-old won 51.39% of the points on Carla Suarez Navarro’s serve in the previous round. Adding to this, Venus’ offensive game style proved decisive with the American winning 70.97% of the points at the net.

These two players will face each other for the 6th time in their careers with Kvitova leading 4-1.

Despite Petra’s lead on the h2h, all their previous five encounters went the distance. Even though we agree with Kvitova’s favoritism after her brilliant performance against Muguruza, it won’t be easy for the Czech to overcome such a great competitor as Venus. Having said that, we’ll follow the trend by taking advantage of the 'over' tennis betting odds as the most valuable play for this contest.
