Man Utd vs. Southampton Game Preview
What a difference a fortnight makes in football. Two weeks ago Louis van Gaal was the bookies favorite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job, with the "Special One" Jose Mourinho odds-on favorite to replace him at Old Trafford, and today, the Dutchman after an unbeaten start to 2016 is talking up Manchester United's chances of winning a 21st league championship. Before we get carried away on the prospects of them lifting the Premier League crown in May (which aren't great), first they have to negotiate a tricky home clash with Southampton.

The Red Devils' are odds-on favorites for this clash, but I was expecting them to be a lot shorter than the 1.91 which is available at Betfred soccer odds boards and BetVictor, and I certainly will be backing them in my weekend accumulator.

If United are to be talked about as genuine title contenders, they have to win this match, and although I don't think it will be a vintage display, I do believe that they will get the job done.

United are now unbeaten in all competitions this year ,and at home they boast the meanest defense in the Premier League conceding just four goals, but they've scored the third fewest 12 with just Aston Villa and Watford scoring less.

The best way to get involved in this match-up is to go against goals again in this one.

Betting Analysis
In eight of their last ten matches in all competitions at Old Trafford under 2.5 goals would've seen you collect as a winning bet and with that also being a winner in six of Southampton's last 10 matches even at the 1.62 which is on offer at Ladbrokes on under 2.5 goals again is certainly the way to profit and looks impossible to oppose. We're adding it to our soccer picks.

Southampton pulled off a shock 1-0 win at Old Trafford last season and they also got a draw the year before and their supporters might be tempted by the general 4.5 on them to win again or the 1.91 on them with Ladbrokes in the Southampton-draw market.

I would really want a lot bigger to get involved, and although they've had an impressive win at Chelsea, they've now lost their last four away Premier League games.

Manager Ronald Koeman will have his side up for this match more than most, as he hasn't had the best of relationships with his fellow countryman Van Gaal, and I'm expecting this to be very fiery both on and off the pitch.

The Saint's will give a debut to recent signing Charlie Austin who had £4million could turn out to be one of the buys of the season.

United fans will be delighted to see that after a shaky start to this season, captain Wayne Rooney has finally found his goalscoring and the England record scorer has now managed to score in four successive Premier League games. I like his chances to make that five in this one with a goal at anytime in the match at 2.75 with Betfred.
