Grundy, Marshman, Silva, Diakaise, and Edwards all hold value in my opinion at UFC Fight Night 147.

UFC Fight Night 147

Ian Heinisch vs Tom Breese
Free UFC Pick: Ian Heinisch
Best Line Offered: Pinnacle

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3745256, "sportsbooksIds":[238,93,19,1096,999996], "LineTypeId":2, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

If you have nothing going on but a UFC party on Saturday night I have some rapid fire picks for you for UFC Fight London in case you need action on the entire card!

Mike Grundy is making his UFC debut and is a high caliber wrestler. We have seen wrestlers in MMA do VERY well and it is the main base for upper tier MMA fighters around the world. In a fight where Grundy is facing a fellow newcomer the grappling edge that he has will likely lead to a victory and a successful first showing on the big stage. He opened as a +200 favorite and has been bet down all the way to +130. The real value has been hammered out of this line, but I do think he wins so you could still take a stab at him.

Jack Marshman returns against 0-2 in the UFC Jon Phillips. Phillips has a puncher's chance in this fight but Marshman is experienced against upper level talent. Marshman is better than his 2-3 UFC record shows and should be able to overcome the flawed Phillips and give him his walking papers after a 3rd loss. Marshman sits as a short -155 favorite and I think that is fair enough!

Claudia “Hannibal” Silva is 12-1 with his first ever MMA fight ending in a DQ, so really he is undefeated. Silva has a top notch ground game and is facing Danny “Hot Chocolate” Roberts who is a fire-fight, live and die by the sword kind of fighter. I believe Silva’s ground game will be able to wear down Roberts and either grind him to a decision win or open up a late submission when Roberts gets annoyed or tired. Silva is -145 and due to the fact that Roberts hasn't been submitted in the UFC I would take him straight in this spot.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/-MFZ27Ei-qY\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen></iframe>"}[/]

Marc “Bonecrusher” Diakiese is 0-3 in his last 3 fights. Prior to that he was undefeated and riding high. His back will be against the wall in this fight and I think that will be the reason he comes out and really puts his best effort in this fight. He was highly touted and his run in the UFC has shown him being thrown to the wolves because of the level he was expected to be at. His 3 losses are to Drakkar Klose, Dan Hooker, and Nasrat Haqparast who are all VERY respectable opponents. I see him controlling the pace against Joseph Duffy and being able to defend the take down enough to win a decision or KO Duffy later in the fight. Even if I’m wrong you can get Diakiese at +170 right now which is worth rolling the dice.

Leon “Rocky” Edwards is 16-3 and is currently riding a 6 fight win streak. He is an impressive striker who has excellent take down defense and even though he tends to have a low-output style when he lands he makes those shots count. Gunner Nelson is a dangerous opponent with a top tier submission game, but he will find himself outclassed on the feet. I believe that Edwards is well rounded enough to keep the fight standing where Nelson will leave openings and end up taking a canvas nap. Nelson is not to be overlooked and the line feels accurate to me with Edwards available at -125. Nelson gets style points this week though for his pre-fight work out video. He’s in the blue Canada singlet.
