Belem, Brazil will house UFC Fight Night 125 on Saturday night as Lyoto Machida looks to snap a three-fight skid when he faces unbeaten Eryk Anders in the main event.

In the main event of Saturday's UFC Fight Night 125 in Brazil, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida may be making his last stand against unbeaten Eryk Anders. Machida has suffered three straight defeats by stoppage and finds himself as a +250 underdog against Anders. This will obviously be the biggest name that Anders has faced as he looks to improve on his 10-0 MMA record. He’s proven to be heavy handed with six knockouts and one submission on his resume. He’ll enter as a -300 favorite. Considering Machida’s recent string of losses inside the distance, it is expected that this fight doesn’t make it past 2.5 rounds (-225). But that line is a bit too much to find value in. Machida is no longer the elusive karate dynamo that claimed UFC gold.

However, there might be some magic left in the Brazilian. He hasn’t won a fight in over three years, but perhaps Anders finds himself in a spot where he’s facing a wounded dog who could be at his most dangerous. Not to mention that Anders hasn’t quite proven himself to be a star in the making. Although that could change with a victory over Machida. Nevertheless, Machida’s last stand could find him invigorated enough to use his wealth of experience to defeat the up-and-comer. I’d lean toward picking Machida. But if he is going to win, it’s unlikely he scores an early finish. You may as well go for the gusto here and take Machida and the over (+185)
