There have been some changes to the card for Sunday’s Fight Night show in Glasgow. It’s a pain for the promoters, but these changes also bring value to the UFC odds board.

Nobody said putting a fight together was easy. The main event for last week’s UFC 213 card went out the window when Women’s Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes (sinusitis) pulled out of her title fight with Valentina Shevchenko, mere hours before they were supposed to compete. Not only did we lose out on some free money, Dana White also said after the fight was cancelled that he would never again feature that belt in the main event. Ouch.

As they say, card is subject to change. They’ve had to shuffle things around a bit for Sunday’s Fight Night 113 in Glasgow; the main event between Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio is still on as we go to press, but three other fights have been changed, and it looks like we’ve got some extra value on Sunday’s UFC odds board as a result.

It’s Like a Jungle Sometimes

Early prelims start at noon Eastern on Fight Pass, so don’t sleep in, or you might miss our recommended UFC pick. We’re looking at the opening bout in the Women’s Bantamweight division between Leslie Smith (9-7-1 lifetime, 3-3 UFC) and Amanda Lemos (6-0-1 lifetime, 0-0 UFC). Lemos will be making her Octagon debut after Lina Länsberg pulled out on June 21.

Normally, we might recommend fading the late newcomer, especially in any of the women’s divisions where the talent pool is spread rather thinly. But Lemos is no tomato can. She’s the Jungle Fight champion for this weight class, and here’s the hook: All six of her victories were by stoppage, including five knockouts and a submission.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

I normally don't say there's any such thing as perfection, but damn is this timing perfection. (Amanda Lemos) #UFCGlasgow https://t.co/PZBCqeBM9r
— FriendlyMMANerd (@VictorVonDoooom) July 10, 2017
\n"}[/]

Smith was a regular feature at Invicta FC before making the move to the Octagon, where she’s done quite well against lesser competition, but also suffered TKO losses to Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino (–2000) and Jessica Eye (–325). While Lemos may not be at that level, she has upside, enough to give us two ways to win the UNDER bet (+190) on the 2.5-round total: Lemos keeps doing what she did at Jungle Fight, or she gets overwhelmed at this higher level by the veteran Smith. We’ll buy that for a dollar.

Free UFC Pick: UNDER 2.5 rounds (+190)

Best Line: at BetOnline

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3220679, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,93,123,169,19], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]
