The Wonderboy and the Olympian will roll!

Record: 21-14

One of my favorite things to do in MMA is making close to even money parlay with a couple of favorites. I do not like laying big wood because in MMA anything can happen, but by tying a couple of fighters who you believe “should” win you can make a very interesting line worth taking a shot at.

We have a perfect opportunity at UFC Copenhagen to make some easy money.

1st Leg: Ismail Naurdiev (-175)

23 years old

74-inch reach

2.80 Significant Strikes Landed Per Minute

0.63 Significant Strikes Absorbed Per Minute

76% Takedown defense

Record: 18 - 3

1-1 in the UFC

11 wins by KO/TKO (61%)

Pro Debut in 2012 at 16 years old

Ismail Naurdiev “The Austrian Wonderboy” is a prospect that the UFC wants to get behind. He is only 23 years old but has the experience of a much older fighter. Naurdiev made his pro debut at 16 years old and has a total of 21 professional MMA fights which is more than fighters on this card who are 10 years his senior.

Being a young fighter and making young mistakes isn't something we will need to be overly concerned with in this case. Ismael is a fast and explosive striker with great footwork and a bright future in MMA.

It looks like the UFC sees what they have in this young man and whenever you can see the writing on the wall that the UFC is giving a fighter a winnable fight you generally want to be on that side.

Siyar Bahadurzada is a veteran of the sport who got off to an early start himself but is very clearing slowing down. Siyar is 35 years old, and while that isn't the age we necessarily start seeing fighters slipping Siyar has been VERY injury-prone in recent years.

Siyar dropped back to back losses in 2013 and took a full 3 years off. He did make a successful return in 2016, but he only made it to the cage once a year in 2016 and 2017 and then finally put a pair of fights together in 2018.

The UFC is clearly using him as a measuring stick for young fighters at this point with his last 3 opponents combined UFC records being 5-6. Both fighters are coming off a loss and I expect Naurdiev to pass his test and lock his spot up in the UFC.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

🇦🇹”The Austrian Wonderboy”
Ismail Naurdiev (17-2)
📝- Officially signs with the UFC!
👊- Debuts at UFC Prague 🇨🇿
🆚- Michel Prazeres 🇧🇷
🗓- 23rd February!
🏟- o2 Arena Prague 🇨🇿
•
🎥- @ACA_League 🔴⚫️

👥 @ParadigmSM @theautwonderboy pic.twitter.com/lUs0BN9JS8
— MMA Latest (@MMALatestNws) February 9, 2019
\n\n"}[/]

2nd Leg: Mark Madsen (-650)

35 years old

72-inch reach

Record: 8 - 0

Making UFC Debut

3 Time Olympic medalist

The point of this whole parlay is to be on the same side as the UFC and I HATE laying bridge jumping prices in MMA, but this is an opportunity too sweet to miss.

Basically all I need to tell you about him is that Mark Madsen is a 3-time Olympic medalist. Mark is making his UFC debut in the co-main event because he is the hometown boy and is a huge draw for Copenhagen.

It's rare to see a debuting fighter in this position unless there is something else going on and there is DEFINITELY something else going on in this spot. The UFC is doing everything they can to make Madsen look good in his first fight under the promotion by handing him 0-1 Danilo Belluardo.

Belluardo is 12-4 himself but all 4 of his losses have come by KO/TKO and he lost his UFC debut in June earlier this year. He was KO’d in round 2 and he is attempting to return just 3 months later. This simply isn't enough time to recover from a KO and he is very likely prone to being concussed again.

The plan is pretty clear here. The UFC wants this green fighter to come in and take an “L” in order to make their undefeated Olympic wrestler look good. I think Mark bodily throws this poor unfortunate kid to the mat and he never gets back up.

Pick: 2 leg parlay -123 with 5Dimes
