Ronda Rousey has gone virtually untouched in the Octagon but Cat Zingano presents a whole set of new problems for the UFC Women's Bantamweight champ. Let's take a look at why the UFC odds have this one all wrong.

Zingano Undefeated for a Reason
Below is the road Cat Zingano has traveled to get her shot at the most coveted women's title in all of MMA. She is by far and away the most powerful opponent Ronda Rousey has fought and if you notice the sixth win of her career was against Takayo Hashi where Zingano literally body slammed the Tokyo Terror into submission.

Fast forward to the TUF 17 Finale and you will see that Zingano TKO'ed her way over top contender Miesha Tate which was historic as well as it marked the first TKO in a UFC women's event. Zingano followed that up with yet another TKO over the rugged Amanda Nunes in September which set the stage for her showdown with champion Ronda Rousey.

Advantage Zingano
While both women stand 5'7" it should be noted that Zingano possesses a four inch reach advantage. The challenger will use this to keep Rousey from hammering her from afar which has become a larger weapon in Rousey's arsenal than simply taking her opponent to the mat and hooking in an armbar. You will notice that Rousey's last two wins have come via knockout which is a marked change of course from her previous eight fights which were all decided by first-round submissions with the notable exception of the third round armbar submission of Miesha Tate.

Cat Zingano will not be a pushover for the legendarily powerful Rousey. Zingano has the strength and speed to not only stay with the champion but defeat her as well. Rousey has competed against women who appear to be a full weight class smaller than her on fight night but in this case Zingano will no doubt be her physical equal. In addition, this will force Rousey to push herself harder to get the takedown and lock in an armbar. We have seen Zingano successfully defend against this before but of course she has yet to face an opponent with Rousey's sublime grappling and submission skills. That being said if Zingano can acquit herself on the mat when the fight does eventually fall to the ground it will be tougher for Rousey to submit Zingano as the fight progresses and more of her strength is sapped in the process.

There was a time when Zingano had a clear advantage in striking but Rousey has advanced in that aspect. Zingano however, still has the chops to stun and finish Rousey. When you factor in the UFC odds of +800 that offshore bookmakers like 5Dimes.com is offering then why not take a chance on an undefeated fighter and proven winner like Cat Zingano for your UFC picks?
