Of the two nights of soccer action, yesterday had the trickier fixtures for us punters. Today we are able to look at some matches where things appear a little more clear cut.

Be careful, though, I am no saying it’s “easy”, it’s betting after all therefore never going to be easy. However, we can look at these matches and have a good idea of how some of them are going to go.

There are two that stand out to me right away and then we’ve got to look away from the match odds markets and try to pick out a gem or two.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid takes on Borussia Dortmund in a game that could determine who finishes top of the group.  With a number of heavy hitters looking like they could finish second, it may be best to actually finish as the runners-up in a group and avoid a side like Bayern Munich that won’t be topping Group D.

I like the soccer odds for the home win here with Pinnacle, an A+ rated sportsbooks,  offering -1112 for Real Madrid to win.  Both of these sides have qualified so all that’s left to play for is a top spot.  Let’s see how important that is to them.

FC Porto vs Leicester City

Another game that stood out is the Porto vs. Leicester match. Leicester has struggled in the Premier League but their best performances of the season so far have been in Europe. Indeed they’ve already qualified and topped their group. For me, though, that doesn’t mean they’re going to sit back and be rolled over here.  They’re out to enjoy their participation in this competition as much as they can and I don’t see any of their players being rested for this one or thinking they can go out and play at half speed.  That means the odds for an away win hold fantastic value at +1000 with Bet365. You could also ditch the draw if you wanted or make your life easier and go for double chance (X2).

If Leicester does go out there with a full side then they will be giving FC Copenhagen a real shot at qualifying.  To do so they need to hold up their end of the deal and beat Club Brugges. On paper that doesn’t look too hard as Brugges are yet to take a point from their 5 Group games.  Bet365 are offering +115 on the away side and I’m placing a small bet on that.

Juventus Turin vs GNK Dinamo Zagreb

To finish off my Wednesday's betting picks I’m looking to the Juventus vs. Dinamo Zagreb match.  There’s not an awful lot on offer here that would be a sensible bet but I do like Juventus To Win To Nil at -175 with BetVictor.  The odds aren’t huge but it’s a pretty safe bet and that ties up my Champions League betting for the Group Stages.
