Wednesday could be a great day for the Premier League as both Tottenham and Manchester City could advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

Tottenham vs. Juventus

Tottenham are enjoying a great European campaign, being superb in Champions League this season under Mauricio Pochettino. They finished top of the group containing super powers like Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, earning 16 points and conceding just 4 goals in their 6 group stage fixtures. They face Serie A reigning champs Juventus in the 2nd leg of the Champions League Round of 16, entering this match on the back of a 2-2 away draw. Juventus looked in control of the tie taking an early 2-0 lead, but Tottenham came back into the game, showing a strong mentality and scoring 2 huge away goals. Tottenham are likely to have a defensive approach in the 2nd leg and secure their away goals advantage, but that might prove dangerous against an experienced Juventus side.

Tottenham are a force when playing on the turf, losing just 2 games all season long at Wembley, against Chelsea in the Premier League and against West Ham in the Carabao Cup. Juventus enter this match full of confidence after beating Lazio last round with a dramatic late goal from Paulo Dybala, trailing Napoli by just 1 point but having a game in hand on them. Tottenham’s impressive home stats and the 2 away goals from the 1st leg could make the difference, but Juventus are definitely no walk-overs. We expect a thrilling encounter in which Juventus will surely dominate the game and have the possession.

Manchester City vs. Basel

Manchester City’s impressive 20-match winning streak at home in all competition says everything. Basel are likely to have the same fate on Wednesday when they travel to play the Citizens in the 2nd Champions League Round of 16 leg. As expected, Manchester City solved the qualification issue from the 1st leg, destroying Basel 4-0 on the road.

Basel are low on confidence ahead of this match and they need more than a miracle to go further, so they will probably try not to concede many goals and have a decent performance. They are on a 3-match losing streak in all competitions, failing to find the back of the net and conceding 8 goals in the process. Pep Guardiola might rest some of his important players, but City’s bench is top class. The Citizens have a rock-solid defense and we expect them to keep another clean sheet against a poor Basel side. City are priced at -667 to win the match with William Hillm but we can still increase our profit if we are looking the correct markets.
