Murray and Wawrinka will fight for a place on ATP World Tour Finals semifinals. Join us while we analyze this match and provide the highest value tennis bet.

Andy Murray (2) vs. Stan Wawrinka (4)
Great effort from Stan Wawrinka in his previous match against David Ferrer. Stan was 2 – 5 down on 1st set and clearly struggling to perform his best tennis, however the two times Grand Slam champion raised the level in order to claim the victory by 7 – 5 6 – 2.

Wawrinka is far from a consistent player, but when he’s motivated and playing his best tennis is almost impossible to stop him. As we already mentioned in our previous previews, the courts are quite slow and that gives plenty of time for Stan to hit his massive groundstrokes.

Andy Murray said that he wasn’t expecting to play brilliant tennis this week and his performance against Rafael Nadal was terrible. Andy seems far from motivated for this event and clearly struggling to play at a consistent high level.

Murray ended his previous match against Nadal with awful numbers: 43% first serve in; 15 winners and 29 unforced errors. The British player said he played a very poor match and the 43% first serve in were probably his lowest percentage of the whole year.

Murray leads h2h 8 – 6, however Wawrinka has always been a tough match-up for the world no. 2.

One of the reasons for Stan’s tendency to cause problems to Murray is his ability to take advantage of Andy’s baseline passive game style. The British is far from an aggressive player and gives plenty of opportunities for Wawrinka to attack with his powerful groundstrokes.

The Suisse is by far the most motivated player for this contest while Murray’s main goal is the Davis Cup final. Sometimes a lot of math is required on the last round-robin match, but this time things couldn’t be simpler, whoever wins reaches semifinals.

Wawrinka’s tennis odds are extremely high due to the circumstances and for that reason we’ll add him to our tennis picks.

Tennis Pick: Stan Wawrinka (+152) at Pinnacle
