Radwanska will be looking for revenge after losing to Bencic at Eastbourne's final; however, the young Suisse has been outstanding. Who will emerge victorious? Find out our top tennis pick for the WTA Tokyo final.
Belinda Bencic (8) vs. Agnieszka Radwanska (7)
Belinda Bencic has been just impressive this week and looks for third Premier title this season after winning in Eastbourne and Toronto. Belinda has been extremely solid on serve holding 92.5% of service games and her groundstrokes are at very high level.
Bencic overplayed Caroline Wozniacki in semifinals 6 – 2 6 – 4 being broken just once and winning 4 games on Wozniacki’s serve. The biggest weapon on the Suisse game is clearly her ability to get the ball very early and how easily she turn a defensive situation into offense.
Agnieszka Radwanska has a massive record on this event with 24 – 5 and will play her third final at Tokyo with one win in 2011 and runner up in 2012. Has been a very good week for Agnieszka so far not losing a single set.
Radwanska has also been pretty solid o25n serve holding 81.1% of service games however her second serve is clearly the weakest part of her game and in semifinals against Cibulkova she only won 8% of points with second serve.
The Polish has been able to serve high % with an average of 67.0% first serve in, however she’ll be aiming for at least 70% because her 2nd serve is extremely vulnerable and Bencic will take good advantage of that.
This will be the second meeting between the two players, the first was this year at Eastbourne final where Bencic won 6 – 4 4 – 6 6 – 0. This match will be played on different surface but once again should be Belinda the one who emerge victorious, Radwanska’s tricky and solid baseline game doesn’t make much damage on Belinda who should be able to overplay the Polish.
