The Tianjin Open takes place in Tianjin and will be played on Hard Court

Main Contenders
It has been a quite solid Asian swing for Agnieszka Radwanska with a 9 – 2 record and losing only against powerful opponents such as Venus Williams and Garbine Muguruza.

Despite being 2nd seed, Radwanska is the main favorite for the title and seems to have a very good draw to make it into the final. The two highest ranked players she can face in semifinals are Karolina Pliskova or Alison Riske. Pliskova has been far from her best, very erratic and Agnieszka is a terrible match-up for her with 4-0 on h2h for the Polish. Riske is defending champion but lost the last 8 matches she played and was crushed earlier this year by Radwanska 6 – 3 6 – 1.

It seems very unlikely that Radwanska doesn’t reach final so there is plenty of value on her tennis odds at 3.50 to win the event on bet365.

Flavia Pennetta is the highest ranked player on this event and this year US Open champion. The Italian announced her retirement after winning the trophy in New York and has been hard for her to keep the focus.

She returned to competition last week with an early loss against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and before that had two tough losses against lower level opponents.

Flavia is priced at 7.50 for the title on bet365 and she just cannot be trusted at the time.

Player to keep an eye on
Elina Svitolina was our player to keep an eye on last week in Beijing, however she had an early loss against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

This week we’ll select again Svitolina as our dark horse, she’s a tremendous competitor and has a great draw to go far. The two toughest opponents on her side are Kristina Mladenovic and Pennetta. Mladenovic is always very dangerous with her huge firepower, but she’s extremely inconsistent and Svitolina should be too solid for the French. Pennetta was already defeated by Elina this year on clay and like we said, she might not be with the best mindset for this tournament.

Svitolina at 9.00 on bet365 is a quite interesting price and has value to be added to our tennis picks for a trade on a later stage of the event.
