WTA Beijing is the last Premier Mandatory of the year where the players seek for important 1000 points to reach WTA Finals at Singapore. Join us and find out who are the main favorites and the players to keep an eye on.

WTA Beijing
The China Open takes place in Beijing and will be played on Hard Court

Main Contenders
Simona Halep is 1st seed and main favorite however, the fatigue from a very demanding season is affecting her game level. After playing 16 matches in less than a month at US Open Series the Romanian had two early losses at Guangzhou and Wuhan.

Last week at Wuhan she had the match in her pocket against Johanna Konta, but managed to lose the match after blowing a 5 – 1 lead in third set.

Adding to fatigue, Halep has a terrible draw this week with very tough competitors in her half such as Garbine Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Agnieszka Radwanska and Caroline Wozniacki. Halep is priced at 7.00 on bet365 for the title and there is no value on her tennis odds. Like we did in previous two weeks we discourage to bet on Halep for the title.

Petra Kvitova is last year runner up and main favorite in bottom half of the draw. Petra is always a very inconsistent player, but she’s also extremely dangerous and the draw is quite good for her.

There isn’t a player who can be considered a serious threat to Kvitova, there are couple of players who can be dangerous such as Ana Ivanovic, Flavia Pennetta or Karolina Pliskova. However Pliskova and Ivanovic have been far from their best while Pennetta will make her first match after US Open and her preparation for this tournament wasn’t the best.

Despite Kvitova’s irregularity this is clearly a great draw for her and she has everything to go deep into the final. We’ll add Petra to our tennis picks at 7.00 on bet365.

Player to keep an eye on
Elina Svitolina is a tremendous competitor, she fights for every shot with amazing defensive skills and never gives up. Elina already did couple of good runs this season, the most recent at Cincinnati where she reached semifinals.

Is always hard to defeat Svitolina and the draw for her to reach semifinals is quite interesting, the three seeded players that can be in her way are Pennetta, Ivanovic and Pliskova. Karolina won last week in a very close match against Svitolina but she’s far from playing good tennis as we said. Ivanovic also has an extremely good h2h versus Elina but currently she’s terrible on serve and completely out of confidence. Pennetta is playing her last months on tour and after US Open she’s already thinking about life after tennis.

Svitolina price is too high, for sure she’s far from favorite but the draw is quite good for her. The price is at 51.00 on bet365 and there is clear value for a trading movement.
