Join us on our daily coverage of the WTA French Open. Find out our top tennis picks for Day 6 and why should you place these two valuable tennis picks.

Svetlana Kuznetsova (13) vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (24)
We picked Svetlana Kuznetsova to cover her spread against Heather Watson and the Russian matched the expectations, dismissing her opponent by 6 – 1 6 – 3. Svetlana showed why she’s one of the best clay courters in the game, with an extremely consistent performance and ending the match with 19 winners / 10 unforced errors. The tough victory against Yaroslava Shvedova on the first round worked as a confidence boost for Kuznetsova and the Russian was incredibly strong on pressure points against Watson, converting 6/7 break points and saving 6/8.

The last months haven’t been easy for Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, with the Russian winning only 1 of the last 8 matches she played before this French Open. However, Anastasia had a very good draw in Paris and she took advantage of that, defeating two qualifiers so far – Sara Sorribes Tormo and Cagla Buyukakcay. Pavlyuchenkova is known for her aggressive game style, always looking to hit winners yet, she’s also known for her inconsistency and for not having the best physical condition. Looking at Anastasia’s career record, clay is clearly her worst surface with a 54.55% winning record while her overall record is 60.58%.

This will be the 6th career meeting between these two players, with Kuznetsova leading on h2h by 4 – 1.

These two players will face each other for the first time on clay and Svetlana’s baseline consistency should be too much for Pavlyuchenkova. Despite Anastasia’s ability to generate a tremendous pace with her groundstrokes, it will be very hard for her to end this match with a positive relation between winners and unforced errors. We’ll approach this match the same way we did in Kuznetsova’s contest against Watson, by adding Svetlana’s spread to our tennis picks.

Tsvetana Pironkova vs Sloane Stephens (19)
Despite winning only of the four matches she played on clay before this event, Tsvetana Pironkova is already on the third round of the French Open after defeating Sara Errani and Johanna Larsson. Pironkova is far from a good clay court player and even though her ability to be a competitive player on every surface, she’s known for performing at her best level on faster surfaces such as grass, with her results in Wimbledon as a good example of that – semifinals in 2010 and quarterfinals in 2011.

Sloane Stephens is looking for her 5th consecutive appearance on the 4th round of the French Open. It has been a tremendous year for Sloane with three WTA titles so far in 2016 – Auckland, Acapulco and Charleston. Stephens loves to compete on the big stages, we already mentioned that she always reached the 4th round in the previous 4 years but looking at her career record on Grand Slam events, the American won 65.71% of the matches she played and proved to be a very valuable investment – 38% ROI. Stephens reaches this stage of the competition after two straight sets victories over Margarita Gasparyan and Veronica Cepede.

These two players will face each other for the fourth time on their careers, with Stephens leading on h2h by 3 – 0. Their previous encounter took place exactly one year ago at the 2015 French Open 3rd round with Sloane winning by 6 – 4 6 – 1.

Not only is Stephens the better player on clay but as we mentioned, she’s also known for producing her best tennis on the big stages. With this in mind, we expect the American to get the job done once again and for that reason, we recommend you to take advantage of Stephens’ tennis odds by placing a bet on her spread.
