Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the WTA French Open Day 5. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Kiki Bertens vs. Camila Giorgi
The last weeks have been incredible for Kiki Bertens, after winning the WTA Nurnberg as a qualifier, the Dutch surprised on the first round of this event the 2016 Australian Open champion, Angelique Kerber. Bertens was just too good from the baseline on her contest against Kerber, ending the match with 33 winners / 36 unforced errors while Angelique only got 9 winners / 28 unforced errors. Kiki is looking for another successful journey in Paris after reaching the 4th round in 2014.

Camila Giorgi is trying to reach the third round of the French Open for the first on her career, after losing on her previous two appearances in the second round of this event. Giorgi is known for her supper aggressive baseline game, always trying to hit the ball as strong as she can; however, she’s also known for her inconsistency. Camila experienced no problems on the first round against the French wild card Alize Lim, dismissing her opponent by 6 – 3 6 – 2.

These two players will face each other for the second time on their careers, with Giorgi winning their previous encounter in 2015 on s-Hertogenbosch grass by 6 – 2 6 – 4.

Giorgi can never be underestimated due to her tremendous firepower yet, the clay court conditions are far from ideal for the Italian. Not only is harder for Giorgi to hit winners on this surface, but it’s also tough for her to hit the ball as early as she likes due to the irregular bounces. Bertens is playing at a superb level and she should be too strong for Giorgi on this contest. Having said that, our suggestion is for this match is for you to add Kiki’s spread to your tennis picks.

Mariana Duque-Mariño vs. Madison Keys (15)
We picked Madison Keys to win her quarter in our tournament analysis and with Angelique Kerber out of the competition, her chances of doing it are now much higher. Keys is looking to reach the 3rd round of this event for the second consecutive year and the American started her campaign with a very solid triumph against Donna Vekic, defeating the Croatian by 6 – 3 6 – 2. Keys’ firepower was just too much for Vekic to handle, ending the match with 24 winners / 15 unforced errors and winning 75.0% of the points played on Donna’s second serve.

Mariana Duque-Mariño is playing some of her best tennis ever and after reaching the final in Nurnberg last week, the Colombian started her campaign in Paris with a sensational victory against Daria Garvrilova after losing the first set. Duque-Mariño is a classic clay court player with the forehand as her best shot and her numbers against Gavrilova are a good example of that, with Mariana achieving 87.50% of her winners from the baseline with the forehand.

This will be the first career meeting between these two players and although Madison’s favoritism, Duque-Mariño won’t be an easy opponent for the American. The Colombian can mix things very well with a heavy top spin forehand and a backhand slice, which doesn’t give many rhythm to her opponents. Keys usually struggles against players who can mix things well and is hard to see the American winning this contest in two close sets. With this in mind, we believe that the best way to approach this game is by placing a bet on the Over tennis odds.
