The WTA Tokyo reaches the quarterfinals as we rundown through the tennis odds and serve up our choice tennis picks on the women's front.

Madison Brengle (3) vs Alja Tomljanovic (7)
Madison Brengle was one of our tennis picks for the title and her level on Hard Court has been very high since her return to this surface. This week Brengle had no problems at all so far defeating Anna-Lena Friedsam and Nao Hibino in straight sets.

After an epic marathon in first round against Timea Babos decided only in third set tie break, Alja Tomljanovic got an easier victory against the home favorite Kimiko Date-Krumm 7 – 6 6 – 3.

This will be 5th meeting between them with 2 victories for each player. The most recent encounter was this season in Strasbourg clay where Tomljanovic won easily 6 – 1 6 – 1 however Brengle is a totally different player on Hard Court while Tomljanovic can adapt well to both surfaces.

The key for this match is Brengle’s ability to get the ball early and take time from Tomljanovic who is a very powerful player but struggles in her baseline movement. Madison should use her backhand cross court and down the line to force Tomljanovic to move and we’ll take the spread.

Tennis Pick: Brengle -3.5 (+103) at Pinnacle

Kateryna Bondarenko vs Yanina Wickmayer
Kateryna Bondarenko is doing a huge comeback after couple of years away from tennis and she’s already inside top 100. Kateryna with her super aggressive groundstrokes did very well this week defeating the 1st seed Carla Suarez Navarro and Jarmila Gajdosova.

Yanina Wickmayer hasn’t been able during her career to perform at her best in a consistent basis, she’s a former World No. 12 and clearly has game to create problems to any player on tour with extremely powerful groundstrokes. Yanina played a very good match at US Open against Victoria Azarenka and seems to bring that good level to this event defeating so far Katerina Siniakova and Johanna Larsson.

The major reason for Bondarenko’s success is her ability to be more aggressive than her opponents, get the ball early and strong, however against Wickmayer she won’t be able to do that because Yanina can hit the ball even faster. The key for Yanina is to be the first player to take the risk, even if she makes errors this match has to be on her racket for her to have chances to win it and clearly there is good value on her tennis odds.

Tennis Pick: Wickmayer +150 at Pinnacle
