We’ve taken another little hit on our bankroll for WNBA Picks this season, but Sunday gives us a nice chance to even it up with some excellent plays for a pair of early evening games.

Jordan’s WNBA Picks: 21-25-1

Indiana Fever at Chicago Sky

Sunday, 6:00 PM

Free WNBA Pick: Indiana Fever 1Q ATS

Recommneded Sportsbook: Pinnacle

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3741825, "sportsbooksIds":[238,93,1096,19,999996], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":5}[/]

The Fever and Sky hook up for the third time this season on Sunday evening in Chicago and it’s a unique spot for both teams. The Sky have been playing excellent ball over the last few weeks, winning four of their last five games SU.

The Fever on the other hand have lost eight of their last nine games and are in free-fall mode thanks to lax defense and a very inconsistent offense.

Now they face off against each other in a game that both could use in the win column. The Fever’s desperation should be well documented with their recent losing streaks, but despite the Sky playing well, they too could really use this win. After Sunday, they embark on a stretch where they play nine of their final 15 regular season games on the road and 11 of them are against teams currently in the playoffs.

However, because of their analytics and recent hot streak, I think Chicago could come out flat to start the game. The Sky have allowed 107.7 points per 100 possessions in the first quarters of their home games this season and 111.9 overall in their 18 first quarters this season.

The Fever on the other hand own the league’s second-best first quarter road defense, allowing just 88 points per 100 possessions.

Indiana has bested Chicago twice in the first quarter this season and I see them making it three in a row, before Chicago probably covers the game.

Minnesota Lynx at Las Vegas Aces

Sunday, 6:00 PM

Free WNBA Pick: Under 1H

Recommended Sportsbook: 5Dimes

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3741826, "sportsbooksIds":[238,93,1096,19,999996], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":2}[/]

The Aces are going into Sunday’s game without one of, if not their best player. A’ja Wilson will be out Sunday and is likely out again on Tuesday with an ankle injury, so the rest of the Aces will have to step up big time if they want to beat this scrappy Lynx team.

Also, the Lynx are getting some good news for this game, as Damiris Dantas is set to return on Sunday and her presence will really help Sylvia Fowles in defending the paint against Liz Cambage.

I think the better play in this one is to lay off the full game lines and instead attack the first half odds. While I’m tempted to take the points with the Lynx, a better play might be the under.

Minnesota has played well lately on defense, especially in spots where they are on the road and in the first halves. Minnesota is limiting teams to 89.3 points per 100 possessions over their last five road games and 90.6 overall in all their first halves.

The Aces on the other hand might have trouble scoring at times without Wilson on the court. It allows the Lynx to be more aggressive on Cambage and forcing Kayla McBride to beat them from the outside.

I think that leads to a lower scoring first half in this early afternoon game in Vegas.
