We have hit a severe down spell, but the process stays the same as we head into a busy afternoon of WNBA action. Even though fading me has been a lucrative system over the last week, I’m confident I can stop the bleeding today with a pair of WNBA winners.

Jordan’s WNBA Picks 6-14-1

Chicago Sky at Los Angeles Sparks

Sunday, June 30, 2019 - 05:00 PM EDT

One of the very few winning picks I’ve had so far this season was on the Sky two nights ago covering by the hook. Now they are on the road against a Sparks team that is finally starting to thrive. After the trade bringing over Chiney Ogwumike, the Sparks have struggled some, but they took down a very dangerous Vegas team back on Thursday and now they get to face off against one of the league’s worst defenses.

The Sky have a potent offense though and that is where we could get the value for this game. Both of these teams play up in pace and they both can give up points.

Over their last four games, the Sparks have allowed 103.6 points per 100 possessions in the first half, while the Sky have a defensive rating of 109.3 over their last four first halves.

If both teams continue to push the pace in the first half, I could see defense being a little lapsed early in the game. The Sky have averaged 48 points per first half over their last three and they are giving up an average of 43.4 points per first half in their five road games this season.

My Pick: OVER 1H

Recommended Sportsbook: 5Dimes

Phoenix Mercury at Seattle Storm

Sunday, June 30, 2019 - 07:00 PM EDT

Even though today looks like the last day the Mercury have to play without Diani Taurasi, they will still need to get it done on the road without her one final time. The Storm are currently unbeaten at home, so without Taurasi, this is an interesting spot for both teams.

On one hand, the Mercury can get to .500 with a win and welcome back their leader with an even record. The Storm on the other hand are one of the most banged up teams in the NBA, but they also just keep on winning despite playing without three of their four best players.

That makes conditions right for a hotly contested game. The Storm have been very good on offense at home this season, especially in the first half. However, the Mercury also play very good first half defense and also play at one of the slowest paces in the league.

That has made this total drop a lot and for an early-afternoon game against good teams, I’m following the movement in the total.

However, despite the full game total dropping more than four points in some instances, the first half total has yet to see that kind of movement. You can still get it at 76 or 76.5 at some shops and I’m grabbing the under on this one.

These two teams rank 10th and 11th in first half pace this season, while ranking 3rd and 8th in first half defensive rating.

My Pick: UNDER 1H

Recommended Sportsbook: Bookmaker
