It's all about the men who score the goals this week for William Hill's Lee Phelps. He's found three in the betting that offer value odds for his free picks.

Man Utd vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham were one of those teams who couldn’t buy a win against Fergie’s Manchester United, but all of a sudden it’s no wins in five for United versus Spurs with three draws and two wins and they are, in fact, only the third team in the Premier League era to go five league games unbeaten against United.

Looking carefully at Premier League odds, I like goals here, Man U score plenty at home. They are the joint highest scorers at home and the highest first half home scorers by some way, so don’t be surprised to see two or more goals in the opening 45 minutes. Tottenham have recovered more points from losing positions than any other team (16) too so the 'come from behind and win or draw' bet is well worth a look.

There are two men I want to back to score here, one is Wayne Rooney, who has seven goals in eight league starts versus Tottenham and Harry Kane who has netted in six consecutive league away games. Just because of the odds I’ll go with Kane as my soccer pick here.

Free Soccer Pick: Harry Kane to score 3.0 (2/1)

Real Madrid vs. Levante
Madrid have won eight of their last nine home games against Levante, which is why oddsmakers have made them a -1600 La Liga odds favorites for this fixture. The only defeat in there was during Jose Mourinho’s reign, but they still went on to win the title.

The away form isn’t very good, manager Lucas Alcarez is still waiting for his first away league win with two draws and seven losses.

Real Madrid of course looked ragged in defence against Schalke and I think they will be fired up to put things right and stay on Barca’s tail in the La Liga title race. Madrid have scored the most first-half goals this term (36), while no side has scored fewer than Levante (7), so a minus one first half bet looks good.

It was Ronaldo's brilliance that kept his team in contention against the Germans in the week and I can see him being motivated to equal Messi’s newly-set hat-trick record.

Free Soccer Pick: Cristiano Ronaldo to score a hat-trick 8.0 (7/1)

Inter Milan vs. Cesena
There is only one winner of this game for me, with Inter having won 17 and draw seven of the last 25 head to heads. They have won the last seven and scored in each of the last 17 too.

I can see it being tight until half time though, with Cesena finally stopping the goals, having conceded in 23 games straight, but whether they make it to half time is another matter. Inter have scored all of their last six goals after the break so maybe the HT draw FT Inter bet is worth a look on Serie A odds.

For me it’s another scorer bet. Mauro Icardi has scored 15 in 25 Serie A matches and this is the kind of game he can prosper in.

Free Soccer Pick: Mauro Icardi to score 2.1 (11/10)
