Nigel Seeley looks at the best bets in the World Cup qualifiers for Sunday's games and he predicts easy wins for both Scotland and the Czech Republic.

Two matches that I like for betting purposes on Sunday's World Cup Qualifiers are Scotland v Malta and the Czech Republic v Northern Ireland, both games will serve up several interesting morsels on the soccer odds board.

Malta vs Scotland
Scotland is hoping to make the World Cup finals for the first time since 1998 starts and they start their qualification campaign against Malta on Sunday night and these matches are now must win games for the "Tartan Army" with the auld enemy England awaiting in Group F. The biggest problem for the Scots in recent years has been their failure to beat the group minnows and although they've struggled before on many occasions this will be one of their biggest disappointments if they can't find a way past Malta side, ranked at just 176th in the current FIFA rankings.

Scotland is  very short 1.45 to get their campaign off to a winning start among top sportsbooks, which is a price that I would never take on Gordon Strachan's side, but with just two losses in their last six internationals against France and Italy they arrive in Malta in confident mood. The Maltese haven't won an international since June 2015 and with no goals in their last two home internationals, I give them little to no chance of producing a 9.00 shock.

I can't see the home side scoring and at 2.10 with PaddyPower a Scotland win to nil looks the best bet in this group F opener and one of the better bets of the weekend.

Czech Republic vs Northern Ireland
The Northern Irish had a fantastic summer in France at Euro 2016 and Michael O'Neil will be keen to get his side to another major championship in the World Cup in two years time. The Irish face a tough ask though in Group C where Germany await and they start with a very difficult trip to Prague to take on the Czech Republic and although the Czechs didn't win a game in France last summer they are a worthy 1.80 favourites to win this one.

At Euro 2016 the Czechs found themselves in a tough group that featured Spain, Croatia, and Turkey and for that reason, their results can be forgiven. In qualifying for France they did suffer home defeats to Turkey and since then have lost at home in friendly internationals against Scotland and South Korea which will give the Northern Irish some hope of a 5.40 shock win, but they don't score enough goals and that will be their big problem again in this one.

Under 2.5 goals is 1.57 with PaddyPower and BetBright and I do like that, I also like both teams to score as "no" at 1.66,  but the best bet in the game is the 2.62 with Pinnacle Sports, and I will be playing the double on both the Scots and the Czechs to win to nil this weekend which pays a nice looking 5.50.
