The Saints have been on a poor run of form lately, but they have a winnable match coming up during the week at home to Crystal Palace. How are the soccer odds shaping up for this one?

Odds Overview
The Saints may not be playing their best, but they're still the clear-cut favorites for today's encounter with Palace. Current Soccer Odds show Southampton at right around -150 to secure the win and all three points.

You can therefore back the Eagles at a relatively appealing price, with sportsbooks posting a number approaching +900 from William Hill Sportsbook. If you think a draw is the most likely outcome, that can be found at roughly +275.

Are the Saints collapsing? They've been going through their roughest period of the season lately, having won just one time over their last six matches across all competitions. They were knocked out of the F.A. Cup by this very Crystal Palace team and have then failed to find much success in Premier League play either.

Considering how cut-throat England's top flight league is, especially when talking about the top four, Southampton really can't afford to keep performing like this. The Saints, once in the top three, have already seen themselves drop to sixth in the table, now behind both Manchester teams and Liverpool as well. They've also got Tottenham right on their heels, so more slip-ups could end up being disastrous for the team's European aspirations next season.

Most recently, the Saints were 1-0 losers away to West Brom, as their punchless attack was unable to get anything going against the Baggies. Graziano Pelle may lead the way with eight league goals thus far, but he's hit a bad cold spell of late, so Southampton could really benefit from him snapping out of it. Will that happen today? This is as good of a chance as any for the Italian to get back on track and re-find his scoring prowess.

Crystal Palace
Once firmly entrenched in relegation talk, the Eagles have been playing their best soccer of the season in recent weeks, and as such they've climbed dramatically in the table. They're now in 12th place and appear to all but have ensured their safety for another season.

A lot of the credit has to go to Alan Pardew, who has made a great impact with Palace. This is a team that's picked up six wins, three losses and one draw over its last 10 matches across all competitions, which is a humungous difference from what we were seeing out of the Eagles earlier on in the campaign. Palace has quickly adapted to Pardew's style, and the results have been as good as ever.

The most impressive part of the Eagles' run? They've gone unbeaten in seven consecutive matches away from home, while logging five straight outright victories outside of Selhurst Park. Palace hasn't been unafraid of the moment and appear to relish playing in the midst of tough atmospheres, which will they most certainly get again today. Will that stellar away form continue on Tuesday?

Premier League Pick
This seems like a great bounce-back spot for the Saints.

The public may be hesitant to side with them given their recent poor performances, but we're going with the "glass half full" approach. Because they've been playing badly, they appear to be undervalued now, so we'll glad gladly back Southampton at this short price. The Saints are still one of the most talented teams in the Premier League and they'll be at home no less.

As we get set to tackle today's slate, we believe the value lies with Southampton and will be adding the hosts to our Soccer Pick. There haven't been a lot of good times at St. Mary's lately, but we anticipate that will change on Tuesday.

Soccer Pick: Southampton 2 Crystal Palace 0
