We go to England, Italy & Spain for the Sunday Big Three with plenty of interesting odds to pick for his free picks this week. If you fancy a big pay out, put all three together for a betting treble.

Southampton vs Swansea
Southampton are third on 42 points and weathered that storm that engulfed St Mary’s through the early part of December and came back strongly, with their current unbeaten run stretching to six matches including wins over Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United and a draw with Chelsea.

The Saints are the division’s joint highest scorers at their home ground, with Chelsea and have the second best defensive record behind the league leaders, having conceded just seven goals in their 11 games. Five of those came in two games against the Manchester clubs during that bad run, so it’s actually two goals in the other nine games.

Things are going from bad to worse for the South Welsh club, with goals running dry and too many going in at the other end, shipping five against Chelsea and four versus Liverpool. In total they gave conceded 17 away from home and scored 10 with seven of those goals coming from Bony and the banned Gylfi Sigurdsson.

I’m happy to play Southampton at 1.62 (8/13), but if you want more value I’m going to trust the stats and go for Saints to score at least two goals and not concede, so a minus one bet at 2.86 (15/8) is my selection.

Free Soccer Pick:  Southampton minus one goal 2.86 (15/8)

Villarreal v Barcelona
This La Liga game could be a cracker with two very entertaining attacking teams going head-to-head. Barca look to have put all that controversy and bickering behind them having won seven straight games, scoring 26 and conceding four.

It’s no surprise they have found form now the manager has settled on a steady team, he didn’t play the same side for over 25 games from the start of his reign.

This is no easy game for the title chasers, Villarreal are unbeaten since the start of November, but Messi and Co look irresistible and arguably back to their best, with stunning interplay between the Argentinian and his Brazilian teammate Neymar. They have scored 21 and 14 goals respectively and I see no signs of them slowing down.

You can back Barca to win and Messi and Neymar to both score at 3.0 (2/1) and that’s my soccer pick.

Free Soccer Pick: Barcelona win with Messi and Neymar scoring 3.0 (2/1)

Atalanta v Cagliari
This Serie A match sees Atalanta welcome one of the League’s leakiest defences in Sardinian visitors Cagliari.

The home team have been profligate in front of goal with top scorer German Denis managing just four goals so far, to be fair if they can correct that they will be a decent outfit, because much of their play has been impressive.

With Gianfranco Zola at the helm, Cagliari have improved, but they have only kept two clean sheets in 20 games and with Atalanta netting seven in their last three at home, I can see them struggling to hold them.

Based on soccer betting odds I’m going for both teams to look for the win here with only two points separating them from the relegation zone and with Maurizio Pinilla playing against his former club he may be a good shout for a goal scorer.

Free Soccer Pick: Atalanta win and over 2.5 goals 4.1 (31/10)
