Out of the F.A. Cup, the Reds now only have the league to focus on. They need all three points to keep pace in the top four – will they follow through for our soccer picks?

Odds Overview

Liverpool is one of the top favorites of the weekend in the Premier League, alongside Manchester City (at home to Stoke) and Arsenal (at home to Sunderland). The Reds are available for backing at roughly +325, with Swansea at +1100 and a draw at +500.

In spite of a valiant effort, Liverpool fell just short in their cup tie at the Emirates, with Arsenal emerging as 2-1 victors.

What that means is the Reds now only have the Premier League to focus on. Right now they're firmly in fourth place, one point back of third and only four behind the top spot, currently occupied by Chelsea.

The Reds have been in excellent form in the league, going seven matches unbeaten since a 2-1 away loss at Chelsea.

There have been some amazing results during that span, including a 4-0 thumping of Everton in the Merseyside derby and the 5-1 victory over Arsenal on February 8th. Other wins have come over Hull City, Stoke City and Fulham, along with draws against Aston Villa and West Brom.

Liverpool's form at Anfield has been terrific as well. They've posted a 11-1-1 record, having scored 38 goals while allowing only nine. Only Manchester City has a better goal differential on their home ground.

Swansea City

A busy week for the Swans has seen them play Stoke City in the Premier League, Everton in the F.A. Cup and Napoli in the Europa League, all in the matter of eight days.

Swansea was unable to get a win in any of those fixtures, drawing with both the Potters and the Italians, while falling 3-1 to the Toffees in the cup.

You have to credit the Swans for the heart they showed in their Europa League clash, however. Holding a very talented Napoli outfit, led by top-class talents like Gonzalo Hiquain and Marek Hamsik, without a goal is no small feat and one they can build some confidence off of.

The club needs every ounce of confidence they can get ahead of this trip to Merseyside, as the Reds have turned Anfield into a fortress once again. Swansea could also have trouble recovering fully after such a gritty game against Napoli three days ago.

As for the Swans' form away from home, they've struggled. They have three wins, three draws and seven losses to their name and have scored a grand total of nine goals in those 13 matches. That's not going to cut it against a highly motivated Liverpool outfit.

Premier League Pick

This is going to be quite the challenge for the Swans.

Not only have they struggled to find their best form, especially when playing away from home, they'll have just been involved in an extremely hard-fought match in the Europa League. Swansea isn't exactly equipped to handle the demands of multiple competitions, part of the reason why their league form has dipped a little bit this season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has had a full week to gear up for this match, one they know they have to win to stay the course for a Champions League spot. The Reds will be raring to go and we fully expect them to keep their red-hot form at Anfield going strong.

Take Liverpool to pick up the victory (perhaps by two or more goals) as one of your soccer picks.
