After the exciting derby draw against Chelsea, the Spurs are back in London action when they host West Ham and your Humble Handicapper expects to do better out of this game then either Spurs or Chelsea did out of their last.
At time of press Spurs are third in the table tied on points with Liverpool and this time I think it's worth mentioning that your Humble Handicapper predicted not only the victor from Liverpool's last game (which put them in this league position) but also exactly the right score.
Enough with your own awesomeness…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
As your Humble Handicapper was saying Spurs are third in the league tied on points with Liverpool, with the same goal difference but having scored two fewer goals. West Ham by comparison are just above that dreaded dotted line, 17th in the league with just one win, two draws and three defeats from their six games. That gives them five points, which puts them eight points behind their cross city rivals.
Putting the table aside, Spurs are the side who seemed to be on a run of decent form as they have won three of their last five while West Ham were considerably more hit and miss and have only won one of their last five.
Probably no surprise that the Sportsboooks fancy Spurs to win this game and have them at 5/11 while West Ham winning is at 7/1 and the draw is at 15/4.
Spurs have scored six goals this season and have conceded just two, by comparison West Ham have scored four but conceded five.
That means the difference between their goal difference, after six games is five goals, that might suggest Spurs would win 1-0 which is available at 7/1 or maybe 2-1 which is available at 8/1.
The bookmakers are still pretty sure that this game will see goals as a nil nil draw is at soccer odds of 13/1 and I am very tempted to agree with them.
I think this game will see goals and you can get over 2.5 at 4/6 while under 2.5 is at 11/10. As your Humble Handicapper was saying I think the bookies have got this one right but if you want to spice up your betting a little bit rather than just betting on goals and Spurs winning why not throw some money down on West Ham opening the scoring which is available at 11/4 and if you're that way inclined and really want to make the big money out of this game by not bet on West Ham leading on the 45 for a Spurs comeback to win the game which is available at 28/1.
But if you’re not a courageous weasel and think the game will be pretty close one I go with a draw the 45 min and a Spurs victory on the 90, which can be added to your sports pick at a price of 11/4.
As you can tell I'm backing Spurs with my soccer picks, expecting them to come out on top either way. And just for the record Spurs have won nine and lost just one of their last 12 Premier league matches against West Ham.Prediction: Spurs win 3-1 available at 12/1 with BetVictor.
