Your Humble Handicapper keeps a-pickin’ those soccer odds winners in the EPL and even though he’s taking it easy this weekend he still smells money with a capital $ when Spurs host Hull. Join him and profit with these soccer picks.

Eight games in and Hull is tied on points with Manchester Utd. Usually this would be reason for those Hull City Tigers to be Tiger-Feeting it all over town as it should signify a top four position at the very least. However, this season Man Utd is somewhat “less” than their usual lofty selves.

At time of press the Red Devils (missing their chief devil) are 11/1 to win the EPL and 8/13 on a top four finish.

As much as I hate to say I told you so, your Humble Handicapper did say (before a ball had been kicked this season) that, “it's certainly worth noting that both Manchester teams are 7/1 not to finish in the top four and I do have a funny feeling that one of them might slip up this season”.

Enough with Hull’s similarity to Manchester United…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

Despite sitting just behind Manchester Utd., and ahead of Newcastle United, Hull has just three wins, three defeats and two draws from their first eight games. They may have conceded fewer goals than Manchester Utd (9 compared to 10) but it’s up front where they seem to suffer. They’ve scored just seven goals, a mere two more than last place Sunderland, that hardly points to a high scoring game from Hull’s side.

Still, the sportsbooks have the following soccer odds on this game. Hull winning is at 7/1, a Spurs win is at 4/9 and a draw, surely the best Hull can hope for, is at 7/2. Hull are winless in their last two while Spurs beat Villa 2-0 in their last outing

It’s interesting to note that although Spurs have home advantage they have a better away record against Hull. In the last two home meetings with Hull in 2010 and 2008 the Spurs only managed a single point and didn’t find the back of the net either time. In fact both those game only gave us one goal. Repeats of those scores are offered up at soccer odds of 12/1 for 0-0 and 14/1 for 1-0, but I don’t see history repeating itself in this game.

Away from home at the Hull’s stadium the Spurs came out on top twice. 5-1 the last time they met and 2-1 the time before that. A repeat of those scores are offered up at 8/1 and 50/1. Which tells you plenty about the soccer picks that I fancy.

Spurs are going to win it and I fancy a decent score.

Hull is the same old Hull, same as they ever were, but the Spurs these days must fancy their chances of a top four finish. I'm going for a somewhat totally one-sided game, Spurs to win it, Spurs to win both halves (at 6/5) and Spurs to score first (at 2/5). Tottenham may not have clocked up many goals this term, but the only times they’ve failed to find the back of the net has been against London opposition. I feel they’re due a decent score and Hull is just the sort of team to let them have it.

Free Soccer Pick: Spurs win 3-0, at 10/1 with BetVictor.
