Two sides that lost in the English Premier League last weekend, face-off this weekend to try and get their season back on track. Spurs, who are chasing fourth place and relegation fodder Cardiff, fight for the points but thankfully your Humble Handicapper knows how to make money from this sport.

Tottenham will have been very frustrated by their defeat at the hands of Norwich last Sunday, especially as it means that they lost ground on fourth place Liverpool and failed to sustain their points gap over Manchester United. At time of press Tottenham are 5th  in the Premier league on 50 points, six behind Champions League placed Liverpool and only five ahead of sixth place Manchester United and seventh place Everton, and don't forget that Everton have that all-important game in hand.

Things get a little worse for Spurs fans as their goal difference is only three, considerably worse than Manchester United, Everton and Liverpool's.

However Cardiff can only dream about having Spurs's problems.

Way down at the other end of the table just one position of the very foot the table sits Cardiff, they have 22 points after 27 games and a goal difference of -29. Now while second worst is by its very definition only a little bit worse than worst bottom of the table, bottom placed Fulham look to have turned a little corner and have only been beaten once in their last three games.

Cardiff by comparison have been stuffed left right and centre and most recently with a 4-0, by recently promoted Hull. It's worth knowing that Fulham are 2/5 to be relegated and Cardiff are 1/3.

You might like to know that Spurs are 4/1 on a top four finish but 300/1 to win the league.

The last time the two sides met Spurs came out 1-0 on top even though they were the visiting side, I think that is the very least that they should be expecting from this game and is available at 6/1.

Also the basics have Tottenham winning at 1/3, Cardiff winning at 9/1 and a draw at 4/1 soccer odds.

If that doesn't make things perfectly clear for you about who will come out on top in this game you should know that Cardiff winning any half is at 20/1 while Tottenham winning both halves is at 10/11.

Gimme 5!

Looking at the last five matches of these two sides have played it is an interesting set of stats as Tottenham have only scored more than one goal in that run and that was in their 4-0 trouncing of Newcastle United back in mid-February.

You may think this is reason to the Cardiff fans to get excited but as Cardiff have scored a grand total of just one goal in their last four games I don't see this game being a little particularly prolific one.

I think a very safe soccer pick is the game going under 2.5 goals which is available at 5/2 can get over 2.5 goals at 20/21.

Prediction: Tottenham win 2-0 available at best soccer odds of  6/1 with Ladbrokes.
