The English Premier League and the Champions League may be over (and ended as predicted by your Humble Handicapper) but there is still football to bet on and if you follow your Humble Handicapper’s tips, still money to be won over in Spain.

The first of my soccer picks for next week in the league that has been run away with by Barcelona (who are already crowned champions on 97 points, 17 points ahead of nearest rivals Real Madrid and a massive 24 points ahead of third place Athletico Madrid). Things start to get a little more interesting if you look as far down as fourth in table where you’ll find Valencia playing for the Champions League spot, but they have Real Sociadad a mere two points behind them.

Where’s the money Mike?

Valencia, who are chasing fourth-place go up against Sevilla, who are safely mid-table, 5 points behind 9th place and can slip no further than 12th  further down.

Safety v looking to keep it

If you are a real seer why not ask yourself who has the most to lose in this competition. Or if that's too complicated for you ask yourself who has the least to gain on in this competition… It's quite simple really Valencia are playing for something while Sevilla have nothing but mediocrity this season.

The question is will Valencia win this game and will Valencia finished in the top four and the answer is… yes and yes

The sportsbooks have Valencia winning this match at 6/5 and them finishing in the Champions League at 2/9. Just saying that, you should know that Sevilla are 11/5 to win this game and 5/2 to draw which would make things very interesting in the other games.

Home and away

So far, considering that Valencia have won just six times on their travels, and have recorded five draws and seven defeats away from home. What's more they scored 22 times but conceded 25 on the road this season. That sort of number crunching would suggest this game would end drawn with a 1-1 scoreline. That scoreline is available at 6/1, but that's not where I am going to place our sports picks.

Valencia are playing for something Sevilla aren’t so I think we’ll see a winner.

1-0…. The sort of score that gets the points

Matches between these sides ted to be a low scoring affair and as 1-0 is the sort of score gets the points I think that score is a score that Valencia would be very happy to settle for. The score is available at 8/1 in Valencia's favour while by comparison is at 14/1 in Sevilla’s favour.

Valencia will be getting all three

But I think that because Valencia need the points they will get the points, Sevilla are already on holiday.  However, I do think that it's a close game because Valencia are not great away from home and Seville have won 12 drawn one and only lost five games at home all season and don't like conceding goals. They've let in just 18 that's an average of one per game and they've scored 37 that approximates two per game. Crunching the numbers alone suggested a 2-1 victory for Sevilla which is available at soccer odds of 11/1, but that's not where my wife's money is going.

I've said it’ll be a low scoring game and I've also said that it's going to go the away side's way. Therefore consider betting on 2-0 at 12/1 on maybe scroll but further down and read my prediction.

Prediction: 2-1 to Valencia available at 15/2 with Bet Victor.
