The Blues are in fine form at the moment and it would be a surprise if they didn't get the full three points at Hull City this weekend. Lets review the betting odds on offer and try to select the best option for our soccer picks.

Odds Overview

The early match on Saturday pits Chelsea against Hull City, and the Blues range from -160 to -185 favorites on the soccer odds board.

Hull is a sizable home underdog at around +550, with a draw nearing a price of +300. You can find all of these soccer odds and the rest of the numbers for the remainder of the schedule at SBRodds.com.

Hull City

If you're a Hull supporter you're thrilled to pieces with how the team's been performing so far in this campaign, especially as a newly promoted outfit.

Past the halfway point of the season, the Tigers are in tenth place in the standings, ahead of Premier League staples like Aston Villa, Stoke City and Swansea City

Recent results have been promising too. Hull lost a tough match (2-3) at home to Manchester United and also fell at Anfield to Liverpool (0-2), but sandwiched in between they've smashed Fulham 6-0 at The Kingston Communications Stadium while also topping Middlesbrough 2-0 in the FA Cup.

Aaron Mcclean got Hull off and running with a goal in the tenth minute, before Nick Proschwitz put the match out of reach in the second half. The Tigers were far more opportunistic at the Riverside Stadium and booked their place into the fourth round because of it.

Now Steve Bruce is tasked with coming up with a good set of tactics against a very strong Chelsea side. When the teams met up back on August 18th, the Blues won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge – will Hull return the favor on Saturday?

Chelsea

Ever since losing to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup, the Blues have been playing at a much higher level and the results have therefore been significantly better.

It's been five matches (across all competitions) unbeaten for Chelsea, which includes a 2-1 home win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

This past weekend, Jose Mourinho's men kept it going in an FA Cup win at Derby County. Derby has been doing well in the Championship and had the luxury of being at home, so it was never going to be a walk in the park for the Blues.

Still, they did control the match and goals from John Mikel Obi and Oscar in the second half guided the visitors into the next round of the competition.

Not only did Chelsea win comfortably, they also were able to rest the likes of Petr Cech and John Terry, while Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres featured as substitutes and should therefore be pretty fresh for Saturday.

Premier League Pick

Though the Blues are a confident bunch right now, this may not be such a straightfoward afternoon for Mourinho's gang.

For one, Chelsea's away form has been mixed, as they've recorded four wins, three draws and three losses in 10 matches. Meanwhile, the Tigers have been extremely tough to beat at home, having logged five victories, three draws and only two defeats (with a goal differential of plus seven).

Moreover, Steve Bruce is a highly experienced manager who knows what he's doing. He's going to try and frustrate Chelsea and we think he'll have his side ready for this one. As a result, we'll be recommending a draw as one of our soccer picks for the weekend.

Pick: Hull City 1 Chelsea 1
