The team on top of the Premier League take on the team just outside of the Champions League finish when Chelsea host Tottenham, and your Humble Handicapper considers this match to be money in the bank.

Chelsea are now four points clear of both Arsenal and Liverpool in the EPL while Manchester City are six points behind, (but with games in hand and a far superior goal difference) and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reckons his team's lead at the top is misleading. Spurs are looking to have their work cut out qualifying for the Champions League and the following soccer odds speak volumes of these two sides fortunes; Chelsea are currently 5/4 favourites to win the league while Spurs were as high as 5/1 on a top four finish.

The fantastic four

It's a tough time to try and break into the top four as Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all serious contenders for the league title and won't want any slipups. It might be a small consolation to Spurs that they are as high as 1/9 on a top six finish, ahead of both Manchester United and Everton.

Enough with the Champions League… WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

Without any further ado here are the basics best soccer odds for the win, lose or draw. Chelsea winning is fancied by the bookies at 8/13, a draw is offered up at 11/4 and Tottenham are clear underdogs at 11/2.

A game of two halves

The sportsbooks also like Chelsea winning both halves before they like any other permutation, that's at 6/5 and the game being drawn on 45 and Chelsea’s on the 90 are 7/2. What's more the sportsbook like the game being drawn across both halves, at 11/2 before they like Tottenham winning any half. Spurs winning both halves is at an unlikely 10/1, the game been drawn on 45 and Tottenham’s on the 90 is a highly unlikely 14/1. And for the crazy people out there, Chelsea winning on the 45 and Tottenham winning come the final whistle is as high as 80/1, but do avoid that bet.

You might think that there is some soccer betting value in the draw, as three of the last five meetings between these two sides have ended honours even. 1-1 in their most recent outing last September, 2-2 last May and 0-0 back in March 2012. Repeats of those scores are available at 15/2, 18/1 and 12/1 respectively.

However I can't see that happening; Chelsea have pretty decent form against Tottenham and have outscored them 12 goals to 6 in their last four meetings. And…Tottenham have never won a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge in 21 visits.

It's clear to your Humble Handicapper that Chelsea are going to win the only question is by how many.

The team at the top of the Premier league have scored 52 goals in 28 games, almost 2 per game and conceded 22, almost one per game. Their defence is pretty sturdy and they have conceded fewer goals than Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham, in fact they have conceded fewer goals than any team in the league. But their goalscoring prowess is questionable, with just 52 goals. That’s level with third placed Arsenal but considerably worse than Liverpool and Manchester City. Tottenham have scored just 37 goals this term and conceded 33.

Tottenham haven't conceded more than one goal in each of their last five games, but Chelsea have only failed to score in one of their last five games, that was away to Manchester City.

Long story short Chelsea will win but by a narrow margin. The sports books like Chelsea winning by a single goal at 11/4 and again being decided by two goals in Chelsea's favour at 10/3.

Prediction: Chelsea win 2-0 at best soccer odds of 7/1 with Paddy Power.
