Your Humble Handicapper was very disappointed with Tottenham’s display last time they played in the league when they went down 0-1 at home to Fulham. The defeat would have been felt all the worse for Spurs fans, because that marked their third straight defeat in all competitions and the eighth goal they conceded in those three games, having only scored two. Such form has meant Tottenham have severely compromised their Champions League aspirations and are now 10/11 on a top four finish and 4/1 to be the top club in London come the end of the season.
Enough with the long-term bets…WHERE’S THE (weekend) MONEY MIKE?
Swansea have also gone somewhat off the boil in recent weeks and they are staring at two straight defeats and their last victory was a 1-0 win over Newcastle at home, at the start of the month.
Looking at the last five games of the two sides have played its two victories and three defeats each. Also in those five games Spurs have been considerably more prolific having scored eight goals but conceded nine. By comparison Swansea have scored seven goals although five of those came in the Carling Cup victory over Bradford City, but have conceded nine goals, although five of those came back in the February when they lost 5-2 to Liverpool.
Close enough for line dancing
Normally say this game should be a close-run affair as Swansea are the sort of side that can cause upset and Tottenham are the sort of side can take their eyes off the collective balls and succumb to a tenacious little side like Swansea, especially outside of London. However if you compare that to the fact that in the last three meetings between these two sides Tottenham have come out on top twice and the only other game they played back at the end of 2011, and the last time this fixture was played the game ended 1-1. If you fancy a repeat of that game, a draw is at 12/5 and that specific score can be added to your soccer picks at the odds of 5/1.

Bet on Spurs
What's more likely is Spurs winning which is offered at 5/4. However if you want to know what the score is likely to be check out the soccer odds on the score from Tottenham’s last victory over Swansea, 1-0 at 7/1 or 3-1 at 14/1, Tottenham's previous victory over Swansea.
Usually Tottenham, because they have the experience and the legs and the squad and the skills to put Swansea in their place however this time around I'm backing Tottenham because they are not the sort of side to lose four games in a row, especially when they have something to fight for regarding league position.
