William Hill's podcast host Lee Phelps has been looking at the betting to find the best odds for his free picks from this match between one team with not much to play for and another with safety still to secure.

Nothing can happen in this game to Hull City that will be worse for Steve Bruce than those ‘paparazzi’ pictures that surfaced this week. In fact that is the most interesting thing that has happened in the build up to this game.

Swansea City
Swansea’s last home game was the single goal loss to Liverpool and they have not lost back to back Barclays Premier League home games since January 2014.

The South Welsh team are top of the mini league of three in eighth, ninth and tenth and have that as something of a carrot, but you wonder if the Swans’ style lends itself to making the game enough against a dogged away team. When I watch Garry Monk’s men, they seem happy passing the ball around and not doing awful lot with it.

In fact the home team here have the second least touches per game inside the opposition box of any team in the top division (16). The team with the least is Hull (15).

As I’ve mentioned before, goals are the issue for them, with just seven players score for them in the league this season and their top scorer Bony, with nine is no longer at the club. Bafetimbi Gomis has scored a couple in recent games, but with the lack of action in the opposition box, I would rather back Gylfi Sigurdsson to score at 3.7 (14/5). Hull have also conceded 12 goals from outside the box this season in the; more than any other side in the league table.

Hull City
The Tigers have won just one of their last 14 Premier League away matches (W1 D6 L7) and quirkily none of their seven matches against fellow 'City's' this season (W0 D3 L4).

They do have a decent record against the Swans, winning four and losing one of the last seven league meetings with Swansea, so consider this numbers when looking at the soccer odds.

Like their opponents, goals are hard to come by. The Tigers have attempted just 95 shots (excl. blocked) away from home this season in the Premier League; fewer than any other side. It’s been especially hard when Nikica Jelavic doesn’t play. They have won just three points (D3 L5) in the eight games that he’s missed and have scored just five goals in these matches.

Soccer picks
Given how goal shy these two sides are and how much Hull need the point, I’m expecting a solid display from the away team and a home side who will struggle to break them down. If there is a winner, I expect it to be Swansea by a single goal, so back them with your soccer picks.
