Inter have the slight issue of the Europa league to look into but as their nursing a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham I think it highly unlikely that they going to have that competition to concentrate on after Thursday night.
Enough with the Europa league… WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
We all know that your Humble Handicapper fears no competition and with such clear winner in this game mapped out already by the Italian league table I'm willing to bet very heavily on the outcome. The home side are 11th in the table while the visitors are fifth. Inter have a real chance of making it into the top three in Italy as they are just four points behind AC Milan while home side seemed to be safely in the middle of the table. Therefore considering who's the most to gain from taking three points in this match would suggest that you bet on Inter winning which is available with soccer odds at 13/8.
The home side have a decent record scoring 20 goals and conceding just 11 on home turf however they haven't been able to translate scoring twice as many goals as they concede into a fantastic winning record as they have just seven wins at home two draws and five defeats. Inter by comparison almost split 50-50 on their travels with seven victories, six losses and one draw. Also they tend to concede almost as many as they score. Inter have clocked up 22 goals, on their travels and let in 20.
That would very much suggest that this game will be a draw, something that is available at 11/5. Also I would suggest the game would end either 1-1 or 2-2 and those scores are available at 5/1 and 12/1 respectively.
For our soccer picks however, I don't think this game will end drawn, and furthermore I think that we will see Inter Milan win.
The home side hasn't recorded a victory over Inter since September 2009 and that was at 1-0 match at home, a repeat of that score is available at 8/1. The last time this fixture was played Inter came out on top by two clear goals and you can bet on 2-0 to the away side at 19/1 this time.
That was almost 2 years ago to the month but more interestingly the last time the sides met the game ended in Inter’s favour the score was 3-2. There has been two draws in the last four encounters but I do think Inter will still come out on top. They may be on a slightly dodgy run at present with back-to-back defeats, and a somewhat irrelevant match against Tottenham coming up on Thursday night but Sampdoria, despite the fact that they have only been beaten once in their last five games simply don't look as commanding as Inter do.
