Anything other than a convincing win for Real Madrid, even without Cristiano Ronaldo out there, would be a shock. Find out which way we're leaning with our soccer picks.

Odds Overview

By far the biggest favorite in La Liga this weekend, you can find Los Blancos at -1200 soccer odds to grab all three points. The price on Elche varies depending on the sportsbook, but the range is roughly +2400 to +2600. A draw (+900 to +1100) is also a huge longshot.

Real Madrid

Feeling good after booking their spot in the Copa del Rey final, Real Madrid kept momentum high with a comfortable 3-0 away win over Getafe this past Sunday.

Cristiano Ronaldo was unavailable due to suspension but it didn't matter. Los Blancos opened the scoring in the fifth minute thanks to Jese, and Karim Benzema added another goal in the first half. Luka Modric put the icing on the cake in the second half.

The win kept Madrid tied atop the table with the two other Spanish giants, and they'll know how crucial it'll be to get another victory on Saturday.

Ronaldo will have his suspension lifted after this weekend's match and will be eligible to play in the massively important tie against Atletico on March 2nd. With the superstar out, the likes of Gareth Bale, Jese and Benzema will have added responsibility to find the back of the net.

Considering how strong Los Blancos have looked at the Bernabeu, we foresee a straightforward result for Carlo Ancelotti's men. They've won 10 of 11 matches there in the league, scoring 36 goals and giving up only 10.s

Things have turned around for Elche after their 4-0 away loss against Real Sociedad. They've now gone unbeaten over their last three league matches, beating Almeria and drawing with Real Valladolid and Osasuna.

Elche had chances to get all three points in the recent stalemate against Osasuna, but a penalty miss from Coro in the first half ended up being a crucial mistake.

Regardless of that disappointment, Elche still find themselves safe of the relegation zone, five points clear of the 18th spot. Overall they've recorded six wins, eight draws and 10 losses, which puts them on 26 total points alongside none other than Osasuna.

Away from home, Elche have battled but have come up short more often than not. They have two wins, four draws and five losses in 11 matches, scoring 12 goals and surrendering 23.

A lack of true goalscoring punch has been a major issue for the club this term. They've only scored 22 goals overall this season and no one other than Coro has scored more than three league goals thus far. How on earth are they going to keep pace with Real Madrid?

La Liga Pick

Elche will try and stay compact and disciplined in the back, but we don't see any way they'll be able to realistically keep Real Madrid off the score-sheet for long this weekend.

Los Blancos have done just fine without Ronaldo out there, with the outstanding form of players like Jese and Modric acting as the catalyst.

We see more of the same happening on Saturday. Madrid knows they can't afford to slip up whatsoever in this heated La Liga race, so expect a focused effort from the opening kickoff. Take Los Blancos to win on a handicap (three or more goals) if you want to find the true value with your soccer picks.

Pick: Real Madrid 3 Elche 0
